I have no idea why I haven’t watched this video until now. But I absolutely dig how much effort you put into understanding the history of drums and various concepts. You truly give high-level instruction at an informal level that is easy to understand for any level. Coming from a drumline/jazz background back in school who also loves metal, I love this video!! Keep it metal!!! 🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
I'm a drummer in training and I've been watching these recently because I just joined a band and haven't played the drums in a few years so this is helping me relearn everything great video man very helpful
Hey man, so I’m pretty much a beginner at drumming ha. but I found you on CZcams by watching the unsainted slipknot video, and I’m glad I did. Your covers are awesome by the way!!! So my issue with drumming is getting my hands and feet to do opposite stuff, I tend to do the same beats if it’s with my hands I do it with my feet or the opposite. I’ve took drum lesson before but my teacher got sick and sadly passed, so just kind of tried on my own but fell off track. But I just got my drum set back from my wife’s friends son. And got extra stuff back like double peddle and extra cymbals but I really want to get better at it. Thank man keep up the awesome videos
I'm not a professionally trained drummer..or a trained drummer at all...I just kinda hit shit and try to make it sound cool lol so this helps man, thanks🤘
I play German too! I find that playing a high snare is better with german, become when I was younger I played a low snare and it was so bad I would always hit my thigh.
Hey man, sweet channel! You're different than the other channels.. I subscribed immediately when you share how to learn the song that you did for the cover. Great stuff. Keep it up!
I got an old drum pad, one of the bigger ones, I'm thinking about gluing different sizes of bottles caps (Gatorade, Dasani water, etc) around the perimeter of the bad, and leaving the center as empty as possible so I could still use it as a normal practice pad.
I don't even drum and I am watching these videos. But really just wanted to say you know you're Canadian when you're dropping names like Philosopher Kings!
Hey dude, really tight video this is really something I need to work on I got a few bad habits. I understand what you mean about getting pain in your wrists that sucks.👍💪
Are you using a different grip when hitting your cymbals / hihat ? I'm struggling with wrist issues and I'm currently looking to improve my technique ... As a beginning drummer, I'm experiencing issues with my hihat hand. Often, I have to stop drumming and since I'm having a lot of wrist pain (even several days later). I'm wondering now if I should refrain from using french grip and maybe try out the mentioned technique for my hihat. Really liked the video by the way ! This in combination with the stretches might actually fix my issues !
Munchell360 those ears I have on are just Shure 315s ... but I recently started endorsing MEE audio .. I’m just waiting on my pair to be shipped from them 😁🤘🏻
It takes me about 5 days. I use Logic Pro X to learn all the songs I learn. It is really useful to use a DAW because I can slow down the song.. Lift the drum parts into midi and repeat sections over and over... I also have a video on using Perspective Pans to help you learn by ear... I use the technique a lot... Here is that video: czcams.com/video/skv9K9323Y4/video.html
Benny Mann yo fuck... that’s such a gooood song omg. I’m trying not to only cover Architects but when I get requests like this it’s so hard to not just cover all Architects tracks hahahaha
Um.. I have owned the TD-15K and the TD-25KV by Roland V-Drums.. both I have loved to death.. I practice everyday on the TD-25KV. I haven't tried any others so I can't really comment on any other then those!
watch more youtube. Youll get used to it. It takes dozens of hours to prepare a speech, let alone, record a video with thousands of expecting viewers. Anxiety can get the better of you.
@@DevilWearsAdidas It's one of those things where once you notice it you will start to see it everywhere. Wyatt's not alone with this, so many great creators edit this same way.
You can't possibly know it was unnecessary. What if he went off on some random tangent about so randomness? He edited to his perfection and that is what you are here to see. If you want to give points, make your own channel.
@@joshuacard9944 If people are already watching and subscribing, I'd assume they also like Wyatt enough to listen to his random tangents, but I get your point. The intention of my critique is to save Wyatt time, we all understand he needs to breath, theres no reason to edit such things out. He's a great teacher and I'm going to respect his editing choices.
Criminally underrated channel
Much appreciated! thank you

Haha, at first I thought its some kind of Guide video related to shooter game. Good vid either way!
Adam Wajner oh shit true.. maybe I’ll change up the thumbnail 😮

i don't even play drums but cool video
Hey dude, love your videos! You should cover the song Overstepping by the band Belmont. It’s such a sick song for drums.
Mazdasp33d glad you enjoy my vids 😁🤘🏻 I’ll check that song out!
Shannon Lucas (the guy from All that Remains that playing traditional grip) doesnt play with them anymore and hasnt in years.
Dye ur hair! I learned nothing from this video cuz I was so focused on ur hair! Jk this video was dope get this man to 20k!
Last Name Awesome haha, ya I really need to dye my roots holy shit... and thanks man, glad you enjoyed!

Franklin DD Clinton idk if I prefer one or the other. I use both, it just depends on what I’m trying to execute 😁
bro will u cover death is not defeat by architects in future 😁
bro one more thing, how much did u pay for ur dope tattoos 😁
You totally forgot to mention the industrial grip
