That's their problem, their parents haven't taught them basic stuff like this.
Also, if you are robbing someone, even if it is "just a prank", that is still a crime. My wife told me about the son of her hairdresser (I guess), who as already 18+ and decided to bully a tranny or something. He and his friend passed with a car, stole his mobile phone and destroyed. The idiot got arrested and did 3 years in prison.

Profound stupidity coupled with social media induced NPD/HPD and a view of other people as if they're just pawns in ones own world, incapable of below surface level interaction (NPCs in video games).
I feel no sympathy for any of these idiots who involve unsuspecting members of the public who then get upset and defend themselves. 'It's just a prank' is not justification

Every prank on CZcams that involves harassing and worthless annoying teens/young adults is horrible. Doing this in public or to a person you know is horrible. Waste of money and a waste of people’s time. Your just embarrassing yourself. Thank god, I’m from Canada. We have JFL silent pranks on TV.

Pulling out scissors and moving it toward someone can be perceived as a threat to cause bodily harm. They have a right to protect themselves from a so-called prankster.

If you are deliberately going to prank someone in a manner that triggers their fight or flight reaction, I have absolutely no pity for you if you wind up hurt or dead.

Pranking your family and friends is completely fine if it's with consent but putting your hands on strangers, causing stress, threatening them, causing harm, stealing or breaking property etc should be made outright illegal if it isn't already as it's only going to continue to get worse as pranksters try and pull off more daring and wild pranks to outdo each other which ends in death.
They are illegal. Assault. Robbery. Menacing behavior. Those are crimes.

The "It's only a prank" excuse doesn't work when some one gets arrested, injured, hospitalized or even killed.
I'm so sick of people saying getting your car stolen is not worth hurting or killing someone over. Your car is your livelihood it takes you to work, groceries, and take children to school. Talk to a person who does not have a car and the opportunities and struggles they deal with by taking public transportation

If someone in the US can get murdered in coldblood for a non-malicious honest mistake, what makes you think you'll be able to walk away with your life pretending to rob a complete stranger at knife-point? Even if you do somehow survive, you still committed the crime of attemped armed robbery and can still be charged for it. Don't bother with pranks if you can't tell the difference between jokes and crimes. Stick with the classics, like a whoopy cushion, fake vomit, a joy buzzer, or a dollar bill on a string.
Murder is the unlawful killing of a human being. Were they charged and convicted of murder?

I’m not sure the Dragon Ball Z prank with a light rubber ball hitting someone’s laptop belongs on the same list as an entry in which someone is accidentally killed
Yeah, that one seemed kinda out of place. There are tons more bad prank related incidents they could have used.
I think this just a case of the top entries escalating so badly that it makes the first one seem tame by comparison.
It's like we can't just have 10 entries where someone gets horrifically maimed or dies, so we need one or two of people just being cringe and annoying in public to set a baseline.
Who was "accidentally" killed? The last video was someone getting killed in self defense. The person who shot him did not know it was a prank but did know they were getting robbed at knife point.
yeah the dragon ball z one is hilarious and thats a prank making someone think they see a scary figure i guess you couldnt see how that would go wrong being jake paul just an asshole BUT HAVING SCISSORS AND A KNIFE UP TO SOMEONE AND GETTING IN THERE CAR IS A CRIME

There are a few issues with these kinds of pranks:
Obviously not the guy that died, but for the others they probably aren't looking at it like "I am lucky to be alive!" but more like "this video is going viral!" and it won't be just the views that one video gets but they'll get a few of those people to watch other videos, some will subscribe, etc.
But beyond that it becomes questionable to the potential "its just a prank!" defense:
Two people could form a "mugging team" - one guy will go up and pull a knife on somebody while the other stands back in the shadows and records it.... If they get away with it then they got away with it then they can delete the video and find a new target... if they get caught or the victim puts up a fight they just have to start shouting "Woah! Woah! Its JUST A PRANK! STOP!" and then the guy with the phone comes over and shows them he was recording.
They could still get charged but at that point a prosecutor is probably more likely going to charge them with some kind of mischief charge where they'll get a small fine and maybe a night or two in jail instead of armed robbery which might come with a sentence up to 10+ years in jail - because they know all they need is one or two dumbasses on the jury to believe the "prank" story and they won't get the harder conviction.

Even pranks that go wrong will make the prankster a ton of money off views (though not for the one that died).
And people could use the "its a prank" to commit actual crimes

What i take from your comments is that such pranksters should still be charged for the crime. "This is just a prank" is no excuse. And if it's there first crime, already the system will not punish them harshly. And going forward, they will think twice

Even some of these are harmless. IMO if you pretend you’re farting in someone’s face and they punch you, you signed up for it. These other pranks are too far and stupid.
With the Dragon Ball Z skit, I thought this was going to be a list of amusing fails. Then the PS4 thing happens, and I fully support that girl getting dumped on the spot if that happened (deserved if so). Then it escalates to things that should not have happened. Then it's just a bunch of braindead idiots who need to be kept away from other people for life.

I don't understand why some of these folks go too far with these pranks. Pretending to verbally disrespect, assault and rob innocent people aren't funny. I enjoy watching good, harmless pranks, but these people only need to do it with those who they know and get along well with.
Important to note that the guy who shot the CZcamsr who survived, was found not guilty. It was the CZcamsrs fault he got shot.

All pranks aren't harmful and inappropriate. Some are genuinely funny where no one gets hurt. A good example is one called Vlogcreations.

The PlayStation that was thrown in the pool all he has to do is just don't turn it on for a while till all of the moisture on the circuit board dries up and it's as good as new. If he turns it on too soon, then you get a short circuit.

I have found that there's two types of CZcams pranksters: they look like they come from highly privileged lifestyles OR they look like they come from the wrong side of the tracks.
