- Muse - Map Of The Problematique
This is my drum cover of Map Of The Problematique by Muse, played on the Roland TD-12 V-Drums.
I tried to keep the drumming fairly close to the original as I was playing over the master recording (not a drumless version!) - however with this one I did change the kick drum pattern a little and added some extra cymbal hits on occasion to give it a different flavour!
Ratings and comments welcome.
Cheers

At 3:55 where the drum changes its rhythm is one of my all time favorite moments in a song. This cover executed it perfectly!
+Aisling Moore Agreed! MOTP is one of my all time favourites, and he nailed it!! :D
Wow, this cover is excellent, sounds really good with the changes you made! Are you left-handed but prefer your right foot as dominant by any chance? (just the way you play!)
nice bro
Good cover
your drumkit is dancing man!
ambidestrous

This guy is a Robot... Super
awesome cover!!! really!!! but are you actually lefty or righty? :)
nice drum set by the way, I have the td9 with the same hi-hat, but mine doesn't sound so well, I guess you have more and better samples on the td12 as I do.
Health and Safety Emergency: Your plug socket, top left corner, is overloaded! :D Jokes! Great video!
Great playing man! 100%
I have a question, i just bought a Td-12 and this is totally new for me so i would like to know how did you do this, i mean, did you import the song in your brain? how does it works? I would like to know how can i play with a song playing in my headphone + earring the drums in the same time. Thanks!!
Sounds great. Which kit did you set?
@Kimezroh nope. those heads he has on those are pretty bouncy, and you can sort of bounce the pedal.
fuckin' epic dude.
oh got it. that makes sense.
thats one nice camera angle !
Are you left handed?
Congratulations. Nice drumming, Nice kit.
Great!!! Thanks to you I'm getting there! Where did you get the drum tabs from? I would love to have them!
The ones I found on the internet don't seem right!
Thanks and keep druming this good!!!
Very cool. Any chance of you uploading a vid/mp3 with the track mixed much lower? (or just the drums) Would love to learn this myself!
AWESOME COVER! hows the hihat on the td12? whats the drum on the left of the hihat? also, HOW did you get that camera angle? is the td12 worth my hard earned money?
its not like the original drumming but i like the creativity :)
Brilliant :-) I hope one day I will be good enough to play that (only been playing 2 months so got a long way to go). Do you know if the music is available anywhere?
You messed up the beginning drums a bit, but thats why its called a cover, huh? :). Great Cover man, other than that, sounded superb. 5/5 ;D.
P.S. Love the electric drum set :).
@heathclifffe where did you get the sheet music from...I'm new to drumming but would love to spend the next year trying to learn it...
Ur good man
you can see it on the live vid "Map Of The Problematique - Muse in Live"
Hey man do you happen to have a file for just the drums? I’d really appreciate if I could use your drumming for a cover of MotP I am putting together, but sadly I have 0 talent on the drums and will be the only piece that I am missing. Hope this finds you well
3:25 - 4:11 u are holding the stick a very ocward way which i like dont get me wrong. but u are combining that drum on the left of u under the control key and doing some really cool with the high hat and that drum at the same time please let me know itssss realllyy cool
at the beginning, you hit a couple of pads which iv never seen anyone do before
coll vid. which td12 preset are u using?
great cover! what do you use for the blue mat under your drums?
Complix a blue mat...
You kick ass!
i always thought about this...what happen if theres a blackout?
lol 0:50 sounds like awesome :)
hi mate, what kit on the td12v are you using, or is it a custom build
i always thought about this..how about if theres a electrical problem?
Do you have any hotspot prblems with those pads?
Can I buy this thing and buy tom to get like 6 toms and 8 cymbals?
your using nylon tips on mesh heads? did you experience any problems?
Dude, what v-drum series are you using?
i understand u hit the bass drum on every beat except for the part around the 3:00 min were every second time u do something really fast with ur bass drum! It sounds like u have a double bass petal but i dont see one! can u explain somehow what u do there?
Great cover! Do you mind explaining how you record from your kit? I'm wondering how to get these kind of clean recordings!
Please... MOAR COVERS
@MrDudedrummer it's an electric kit ;) so for sure, no problems :P
Awesome vid! Only problem was the bits after 4:22
what kind of cymbals are these?
赞~~~~~~~~~~
2:15 = EPIC
I want the VH-11 so bad..
left handed?
the hi hats supposed to be going at 8th notes, but other than that good
@homequestliberation im a drummer and ive bin playing since before i could walk and i find that drumming should come naturally and that you should feel what you play:) however it would be easy to google " Muse Map of the problematique:)
Now, there is a fckn problem. My friends expect me to the same thing as you do. Could you please go down to Galway in Ireland and teach me how to??
you have a complete ariel view of what he is doing. if you cant pick it up from this im sure the guy cant waste time to try teach you how to get to it
@rueyi by wat I saw there electric
what drum setting are you using I meen like : TAMA, LUDWIG, or .... can you please tell me
Thanks. And can no idiot mistake me and say its roland you pr**k I know but some electronic drums have differant kit settings. :)
