@@michaelszczys8316 there is something missing from the new generation(s) mine included although I do love the "crafts". Alot of guys who have a general interest in these sort of things expect to train a year and then make the BIG BUCKS when they dont know shit. But you watch Jesse as he works. His tounge sticks out, he gets into a groove, he loves it. I bet if you walked through his shop while hes working, hand him a defected fender, tank, anything, he will be compelled to fix it. Its in his nature, almost an OCD. Kids now dont "love" the work, they only love the money they could make.

Its different with a guy that wants to learn. Cant teach an old dog new tricks. A lot of guys have a bit of ego/pride and wont like being corrected, even if theres obviously a better way.
Tv producers sometimes miss the mark of what the people watching want to see. They seem to think everything needs to be turned into a drama filled reality show with fast cuts and loud music. It's that kind of nonsense that drives people to CZcams instead.

I remember hearing jj say he makes bikes from the ground up, and made fun of other fab shops like occ that buy everything off the shelf and bolt it together. Jesse and orange county choppers are worlds apart in terms of craftsmanship imo. Dont get me wrong, occ and others make nice looking stuff, they just don't have the unique hand made qualities to them as much.

Back in that Chopper craze in the 90s i remember telling my son when we watched some of the Discovery Channel showd that jessie and Billie lane would be the last survivors of a;ll those businesses because they were some of the few that really could do their own fabricayion with their hands and most of those other ones bought parts and bolted them together

Is Billy still in prison? All that talent and skills and makes poor life choices. I understand it's not just him...

I enjoy watching his video I'm glad to know that you're passing along some of your talent to others that want to know how to do it. I think both of these guys have a huge amount of potential to be really good at what they do.

Smart and driven young men. Best if all your passing on your craft. No better gift given than time and knowledge. Mad respect. Inspiring to say the very least.

Everyone was in to the tuttles bikes. There’s no one else close to Jesse when it comes to creating works of art in machines and metal

This man alone is why I went to the school of hard knocks instead of going to Law school.
12 years ago, I had a man take me under his wing and teach me all he knew about metal fabrication, I worked 16+ hour days 7 days a week for peanuts, yet, at the end of the day, you can’t really put a price on having the knowledge of being able to build something from scratch with your own hands.
JJ, glad to see you’re passing on the ancient art of metal work to a new generation.
