If you ever plan to visit Berchtesgaden, here are two sights you shouldn't miss: the Obersalzberg with the former US recreational facilities, and the Kehlsteinhaus (at 3:10 referred to as the "Eagle's Nest"), which was the "Fuehrer's" Guesthouse. The view from there is absolutely stunning!

when you visit germany, make a plan before what you want to see. from north to south its only 620 miles. in north you have hamburg, beaches, lots ports, ships, etc. in the south you have mountains, lots of castles, in south west you have the black forest, beautiful nature spots, in the east you have lots old towns f.e. Dresden with beautiful old buildings, in the west you have great cities like Frankfurt, Cologne (Köln), etc. watch more videos about germany, say what you like there, and your german fans can tell you where it is, what it is, etc.

OK, as a German, I have to oppose a lot here. At first, it's mostly in the suthern part of Germany. But what is with Dresden, Leipzig, Rostock, Cologne, Potsdam, Rügen Isle, Münster, Nuremburg, Regensburg, Bamberg, Würzburg, Schwerin, Dessau-Roßlau, Görlitz, the Altenburg region at the Erzgebirge, Erfurt, Koblenz, Göttingen and finally of course Heidelberg. At the end, every second german village, town and city has to offer cool and visible history, great landscapes and so on. Sometimes it needes a second view, but in most cases, it is at the end much more interesting as for example the overrated and artificial Neuschwanstein Castle (btw, the text in the original video often provided false spellings of the sights - so it is Burg Eltz, not Els).

I also wanted to mention that there is Erfurt and Halle-Leipzig. If you're interested in east German history you should also go there and see what they made from a dirty industrial area. Halle has still chemical industry, but for the environment this is much better now. And they have an airport. And mentioning industry I have to think about West Germany. Köln, Düsseldorf - did they mention it?

We don't call cities with skyscrapers updated.
We call them run-down. They have lost their charm, crime rates and drug consumption are high (ok, not compared to US cities). You certainly don't want to walk through Frankfurt's main train station at night!

While I agree that walking in the neighbourhood of Frankfurt's central station at night can be quite trying, I wouldn't say that cities boasting skyscapers are "run-down".
Skyscrapers are in no relation with higher crime rates (or drug addiction).

I lived in Meersburg for three years and now live on the other side of the lake in Constance ("Konstanz" in german).
For me, Meersburg is the most beautiful town in Germany, you simply have to visit this place.
Lake Constance is rightly one of the most beautiful regions in Germany, it is also a paradise for fun-loving people. Not only do we have beautiful nature to enjoy here, but in summer we can look forward to almost Caribbean weather and countless leisure activities, while in winter ski resorts await us just a few kilometers away.
But also the truth is that life here is very expensive, everything is gray, wet and foggy in autumn and winter and the cities are very crowded with tourists in summer.

If you want to know another cool fact about Germany, here you go. Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands meet at one point, which is called "Dreiländereck" (three country corner). You can visit it, it's very beautiful. There is a small "big city" near it, called Aachen, also known as "Kaiserstadt" (Emperor city), because of Emperor Karl, who made Aachen his favourite city. It's located complete in the west of germany and North Rhine-Westphalia. Another beautiful city called Köln (Cologne) is only 1 hour away :)

Germany has much to offer and two open minded girls like you, would take alot from such a trip. But...take your time, you cant rush through the country. You should to one destination per day, because there is ALOT to see.
Fun Fact about Neuschwanstein castle. the castle was never completed, because the King went bankrupt and was declared insane before he could finish it, from its 100+ roo, only 13 are complete. Also, It wasnt just an inspiration for the Disney castle, IF it had been completed, the Disney castle is what it would look like today. Neuschwanstein is also the only (non modern) castle in the world that was build with heating, steel roof and telefon.

I am really big fan of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. It is a medieval city, truly, and there is nothing like it. As was said in the video. It was actually pretty large for old times and they just have not changed it since then really. Climbing the church tower is a real adventure btw.
Neuschwanstein is very disappointing. If you really want to visit, then park your car, look at it from outside and then leave. Waiting forever in line to get inside to see that there is nothing in it, is just frustrating. Schloss Linderhof is nice, though. I have actually been to most of the castles in the video, but forgot most of them, except the very exposed ones sitting on top of hills. Those are worth it, if the view is good, just for the view and in one of them, there was actually a great museum with lots of weapons and armor, which is not as common as you would think. (Of course Rothenburg has a bigger and better one and whole museum on torture, though it is called criminal museum, hehehehe ;-) )
Whatever you do in Germany, make sure you are taking to time to hike in the mountains at least once. You can do mountain everywhere in the world, but you are not going to have the same kind of animals up there as in Germany, escecially not cows with some of them wearing bells. Those cow bells are amongst the most soothing sounds somehow.

Cause I think your reactions are more professional than a lot of channels that are around for way longer 😂 No unnecessary spoilers with a 'teaser' or 'coming up' in the intro and you both are not just staring silently at a screen 👍 often enough there are channels where the host is basically just hosting a watch party instead of hosting their own show - so it's nice to hear your opinions and thoughts! Don't confuse "has tall buildings" with "upgraded". Most european cities have strict rules on how tall a building in a specific location can be in order to preserve the historic city scape. There are however a ton of modern buildings, be it residential, for offices or whatever. Just because they're not tall doesn't mean they're not state of the art. I actually prefer the skyline of my city just the way it is. Some modern high rises mixed with classic church towers and of course europes largest monument, the "Völkerschlachtdenkmal" or "monument to the battle of the nations". Remember my lecture on german compound words from last time? See how many english words it took to replace one german one? Anyway it's about the size of the statue of liberty, but much bulkier. And it gets far too little love from international tourists. That's because it's in eastern Germany and thus not on their very Bavaria-heavy radar. There was not a single east german place in this video. I know it's a "top ten" list and a somewhat comprehensive list would have to be much longer but as a non-bavarian German it's somehwat frustrating that Bavaria is so over-represented in videos like this. I mean the US is more than just Texas, right? Same here.

Many volklore around the mountains and espacially the Watzmann is throning over the valley. But if u are there, don't go up to the Adlernest. It's overpriced and to overloaded with tourists, the Kneifelspitze is a better pick. Not as touristic and mor rustical but an amazing panorama and u can just drive up there. I love your reaction but I’m not quite fond of his list because it gives a wrong impression of Germany. Too much emphasis on the Alps. The alps cover only 2-ish person of the country‘s landmass, so they’re really not representative for Germany. There are several other(lower) mountain ranges, though, but they look different. More like the Black Forest. And unfortunately he completely missed out Eastern and Northern Germany. There are also impressive landscapes like the Sächsische Schweiz, the Spreewald, the Müritz, the Baltic Sea coast, the Lüneburger Heide, the Wattenmeer,… and the most beautiful towns in my opinion. Erfurt, Quedlinburg, Dresden, Görlitz, Leipzig, Potsdam, Stralsund, Wismar, Schwerin, Lüneburg, Lübeck, Celle, Goslar,…

You can tell thats a video from an american for americans. like very country germany have 100 and 100 of places being worth a visit and not over groweded by tourism. This video is the "american view" on egrmany, taking place mostley in south germany plus Berlin and some other big cities.
First of all, i wouldnt visit Frankfurt and if you do, stay away from the main trainstation and the area around it. Its well known for its crime and its problems with drugs.
i could recomend the Spreewald area tho its a tourist spot too ibut ts mostley visited by germans .
Another place worth a visit is colonge, colonge have huge evvents like the gamescom and the near by area of Ruhrpott, germanys former industrial center and parts of it are now part of industrial art.
Another area would be all of the north sea area, there are mostley small villages and towns and you can see the influance of dutch culutre to it. Its an releaxing area with some tourists but again most of them are from germany or the neterhlands.
Then they are the many beautiful towns in east germany so idk if i would go there, special in the smaller once because the far right, racist polictial party AfD is very strong there but you can easy vistit towns like Dresden.
Thats just a few ideas, like i said germany is full of places worth a visit. Dont run into the tourist traps where everyones going
