I own a GS SBGM221 and I absolutely LOVE it!
My conundrum is I really enjoy collecting watches. But the hobby is pricey so I can’t buy a watch every week (although I’d love to)
I limit myself to 3-4 a year.
Problem is, I love so many of them, it’s difficult to choose which one to pick.
Next watch I buy will be an Omega Speedmaster Professional, no doubt.
But then what?

I’m newer to this hobby. I know the minimal basics, but it’s so hard to choose. I’m an impatient guy, but I’m not an impulsive guy.

Only buy watches that you keep thinking about a year+ after first seeing it. Otherwise you’ll likely fall out of love after the honeymoon period.
Just buy and wear what makes you happy. And DON’T form your opinions based off reviewers/influencers that also sell watches.

Trust me, I only buy watches I’m absolutely in love with, and nobody will influence my decision.
It’s too costly to buy one that I just think is ok.
It’s just always hard to choose because there’s so many options and I’m in love with so many brands.
I think this is a beautiful watch. I’m sitting on $15k for my last watch. I want a daily driver that will take bumps and lumps. This watch is like a beautiful woman, we may dig clams together, we ain’t digging no ditches. Lol.
I have the chronograph with that same bezel material and style. SBGC249. No video can do justice to how beautiful it is in real life. This watch will be gorgeous on the wrist!
Every time the bezel shifts from blue to black and back to blue... mmmmm.... I have never loved a watch bezel more than this one. Thanks for the video.

The whole point of these is to be big and bold.
I know this is ultimately down to personal preference, but i agree. It looks too big on Tim's wrist. I suspect it wears beautifully being all titanium, but visually, its just too big on all but the chunkiest of wrists. Wish this could be 39-40mm and 12mm thick. Case shape is so badasssss. That bezel is gorgeous!!!!!
@@tarscase7653 I have this sentiment with the entire Grand Seiko lineup. Their "standard" 40/42mm pieces would work so much better as 38mm pieces

Unfortunately, Grand Seiko watches are known for their poor resale value.
Which is why you buy used… like in the video you’re watching right now. How is that even a downside if you know that beforehand? You get a watch cheaper than advertised and without any wait, where is the downside here?

Personally, I don't buy watches with the expectation to be sold. A watch is meant to be used and worn, as like a car. Life is too short to worry about resell values.
What an ugly watch, the case shape is nasty and looks horrible with that strap, as well as its dumb dimensions. Can’t imagine someone paying Omega money for this watch
