great video i've been researching for a while now on how to start investing. a few months ago i seen some Speed champs sets on sale i got the Supra and Jesko just to hold on to them but now we closing the end of 2022 sets will be on sale and retiring i will be referring back to this video probably more than once
It always bothers me, looking at the A-Wings in the background (because I missed out on getting one for my personal collection) it’s so hard to watch this and not be sad😂

Last advice is the best. Have a budget beforehand on how much you can actually invest. There is always unexpected things that can come up in life. And u don’t want to be in debt

Excellent video. Covered real concerns and offer ideas to plan. The idea of research for new investors. Can you make a video on the theme of research. In the video can you demonstrate you research approach for 2 sets. One set where the research supports buying that set and one set where the research turns you away from that set

Great video Shane!! I have to say, out of all the investing videos I’ve seen on CZcams you’re by far … for me … the most knowledgeable!! My opinion I know, but I’ve mentioned in one or two of your other videos before … I’ve been investing for over 10 years here in the UK. Point being after all this time, it is still great to hear how others do it and to give your advice for free … is admirable!! Keep up the good work!! 👍

@@BrickBucks Honestly my friend, credit where credit is due … Lego investing can be very time consuming, so to do these videos as well … I take my hat off. My one tip, which you’ve mentioned before … is you must enjoy Lego, don’t be in this for a quick turn around just thinking Lego is investable!! Have to ask, price hike hasn’t hit us yet … how hard has it hit the American market?
@@leeshurmer7063 yeah it has kicked in here in the US over the past few days. It's insane for sure, but I have a positive outlook overall. Especially for this year, when most of the retiring sets weren't impacted with the price hikes and will seem comparably cheap
@@BrickBucks that is very true, be interested to know your target sets for 2022 retirements!! For me, going quite deep on the Ninjago golden figure sets … going towards the helmet sets, but interested to see if they take off like the first wave that retired did. And as always for me, tend to look out for the exclusive sets to certain retailers … as we both know, that’s limited stock!! Anyway, bedtime now this end … great chatting and speak no doubt on future videos!! 👍

Just Started with LEGO, also Started a Bricklink store to make money on investment loosers as well.
I have too many diffrent sets because i get nice offers. So i cant resist. I have oder 100 different sets. Mostly you can buy 3 pieces of one set, sometimes even just 1. So i pick them up and wait for more in the future

First of all thanks for what you are doing its very important . I always want start investing and i think i will do it now . I found in a local store 3 sets in 70% discount price . Lego duplo set 10908 ( from 10 € it cost 2,4 ) lego friends set 41442 same as duplo and friends polybag 30414 ( from 5€ cost 0,90€ ) . It is good though to buy 10 or 15 each and then sell it in few months in the real price ? ( 5€ 10€ 10€ ) . Or put the price lower ? Thanks for your time if you can give me an advice in my start .

Im definitely new to this but those bigger sets seem like long time holds whereas the smaller sets seem to be quicker flips? Easier for a set to go from 40 to 80 than from 400 to 800 im assuming
try and buy sets who is going to retire. That set isnt even relised yet and might be around for many years

you don't require a professional account to sell on Amazon, but it's better for winning the Buy Box and also cheaper if you plan to sell more than 40 different listings per month. Starting with an individual account is a great way to go though and you can upgrade later as needed

im going pretty wide, i live in Norway with just 5 mil people. it takes a little time to sell one set. would you go deep in such a tiny country yourself?
Yeah it will vary depending on your access to buyers. For me I would base the decision on the data - looking at supply and demand information to figure out the likelihood that I could quickly move 50 units, or 100 units, etc.
@@BrickBucks 50-100 units would never work, but sometimes 5, other times 20 :)

Yousing extra Mony. And sets sit to you sale them. .I all ways lay buy set s than blow hundreds at one s . But I not a bulk buyer. I get extra set s ..in with my set when getting for my salf ..then hold onto them then ree sale ..Manny buy a bulk lot of set at low price and part them out. Sale the part ..pending who whants them .and sale the mini fig. Individually $$ ...not buying the set. Till thay go on sale or before thay retire and are paying less ....hold few years and so. thos who dident get them back then..can get of you. But. Value has gone up..so U get dubble back ..sume set s you may only get a little extra .even if held for3 to 5 years. ..it s amazing how Manny set. Value going up.30%..each year like green grocer modular 1.000.900 .is full on ..and pirates of baracoter ship it whent up in value just with in few week s .150..$ is awsume. It's like gold. There Manny collecting to ree sale...but it's not flooded with ree saler s. .but you be amazed who is red saleing set s ..and it's great to know..I can still buy set s year s later. We dident get .is kool....and depending on their ree sale price ,you got to shop around. To ree saler to get at best price ..sume Ree saler s..the price may Verry ,.and sume may .. Let me pay of the set s helps to ..keeping tad s on what's sets got sold . In computer or book so you can figger out. You gaining $$ .from it all. Than blowing hundreds and stock not saleing... .one s got good customer base ..but sale can be up and down depending how Manny know. You ree sale set of parts ..if customer happy thay will all ways buy of you ..letting the Lego fan s know ..helps ..to. To gain on sale s ...it cume s down to. The More people s know..if only few know..you sale less. @@BrickBucks Too long to list here. But almost the same rules apply to Lego investing as they apply to professional stock investing. Most of the tips you gave violate these rules.
