- The fastest man on four wheels, Ricky Bobby (WILL FERRELL) is one of the greatest drivers in NASCAR history. A big, hairy American winning machine, Ricky has everything a dimwitted daredevil could want, a luxurious mansion, a smokin' hot wife (LESLIE BIBB) and all the fast food he can eat. But Ricky's turbo-charged lifestyle hits an unexpected speed bump when he's bested by flamboyant Euro-idiot Jean Girard (SACHA BARON COHEN, TV's "Da Ali G Show") and reduced to a fear-ridden wreck. Losing his wife and job to best bud and fellow fool, Cal Naughton, Jr. (JOHN C. REILLY), Ricky must kick some serious asphalt if he's to get his career back on the track, beat Girard and reclaim his fame and fortune. 'Cause as Ricky Bobby always says, IF YOU AIN'T FIRST, YOU'RE LAST!

The “don’t you put that evil on me Ricky Bobby!” Scene makes me laugh every single time.
It was a super funny scene
Cut around the meat!
I quote that line all the time especially when someone says something like "what's the worst that could happen?"
@@frednich9603lmfao "You gotta use da safety knife an we will just try to pry it out"
At work, when someone talks about a serious screwup, this is what we say to them.
The outtakes are somehow funnier than everything else 😅 RIP to Michael Clark Duncan, a talented and very funny man gone too soon. For more of his hilarity - The Slammin Salmon

Trivia for Talladega Nights:
1. Released in 2006; directed by Adam McKay; written by Adam McKay and Will Ferrell.
2. The same creative team is also known for doing the 2004 film Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. The R.B. initials for both films were technically meant to be intentional, as if they're in a similar film "universe."
3. Like Old School did for Vince Vaughn, Talladega Nights switched much of the career trajectory for John C. Reilly (Cal Naughton). He had been a more dramatic actor, doing Oscar-season movies (including three of the five Best Picture nominees in 2002), and then this one turned him into more of a comedy film actor. He and Will Ferrell did another film together, called "Step-Brothers," two years after Talladega Nights.
4. Leslie Bibb (Carley) has been in a relationship with Sam Rockwell (Wild Bill from The Green Mile) since 2007.
5. Houston Tumlin, who was Walker, the older son, later served in the 101st Airborne Division of the U.S. Army. Sadly, he developed PTSD from his war service and later died via self-inflicted gunshot wound at his home in Alabama. Grayson Russell, who was Texas Ranger, has continued acting, and is known for his work on the series "Diary of a Wimpy Kid."
6. Sacha Baron Cohen (Jean Girard) is most known for his character Borat Sagdiyev, and he has done two movies based on that character.
7. John C. Reilly, Jack McBrayer, and Jane Lynch (Grandma Lucy) later appeared in "Wreck-It Ralph" in 2012, and its sequel "Ralph Breaks the Internet" in 2018.
8. Filming was done primarily in the Charlotte Motor Speedway, located in the nearby suburb of Concord, NC, and nearby Rockingham Speedway.
9. Christopher Nolan (director of Inception, Interstellar, and The Prestige) has said this is one of his personal favorite films.
10. Steve Carell was supposed to be in this film, but couldn't do it due to scheduling conflicts.
Man, I love this little facts each time. WTG Eric!
@@AwesomeUSMovies A lot of them I know on my own; some I get from IMDb.
They named their kids Walker and Texas Ranger... there was a popular TV show named Walker, Texas Ranger, about Chuck Norris as a member of the Texas Ranger Division law enforcement and investigation organization.
There was also a popular TV show about a female doctor on the frontier in old west times called Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman.
Fun fact: the chimichonga is actually from Texas as is the crunchy Taco. They are both considered Tex-Mex, a blend of mexican flavors with Texan cooking techniques. The original chimichonga is a brisket(texas bbq technique) in a burrito (mexican flavor) that is then deep fried( American cooking technique)
R.I.P Michael Clarke Duncan
(1957-2012)
NASCAR is all about strategy, and it helps to have a fast car but it doesn't always matter if your strategy is off. When to hit the pit stop, fuel conservation, adjustments on the car based on how it's handling (not easy to find the right alignment) are all big factors in who wins. p.s. the kids stole the show in this one (and Amy Adams :))
James, Ricky's dad is the Jerk Boss from OFFICE SPACE and the commentator from DODGEBALL. The actor's name is Gary Cole. He was the guy you thought was Johnny Utah's jerk FBI supervisor in POINT BREAK. However he was played by John C. McGinley one of the Bob's, the HR consultants from OFFICE SPACE. He was also in Scrubs and PLATOON.
One day, James will need to see Gary in the Brady Bunch movies
Great job James! You’re really getting a great library going on remember the stars. It’s so much fun watching you on this journey.😅
Thanks so much!
“How about some shade!?” That has me absolutely cracking up
this is the most wholesome reaction channel around !
Oh man, I'm so glad to hear that. Just trying to have a lot of fun and cheer people up
With you being so into books, it’d be cool to hear what you’ve been reading or some of your favorites, I’m always looking for new books myself! ✌️
I've actually talked about them many times on my Q&A sessions. However, right now I've read the first 5 books in the Nova Terra Series (Seth Ring) If you ever played an MMRPG you'd love the series. The other book I'm reading is called The Power of Potential (Thomas D'Eri) This book is non-fiction and is about a family that started a car wash business that employees mostly mentally handicapped idividuals. It's very heartwarming so far and talks a lot about the strugles and triumphs associated with those relationships in the workplace. Hope that helps. As always, I highly suggest Audio books as you get so much more out of the experience.
"Do not get your Nana a coffin..."😆😂🤣😂 We have a family member who is a mortician (family owned & operated funeral home). Whenever they would ask about how my Gramma was doing, she would get this very wary, suspicious look on her face and say, "ugh, ugh! Why's he asking about me?!?!" 🤨
Semi-Pro is another great Will Ferrell sports movie and actually my favorite Will Ferrell movie.
Underrated.
The guy you know from Big Bang Theory is probably best known for his role on the sitcom 30 Rock.
Another great Will Ferrell movie is 'Step Brothers', his stepbrother was also in this movie.
Added to my list, thanks for the suggestion.
I know you had a blast with this one, thank you for making me smile.
My pleasure!!
"That's A Nice Bike, Is That A Huffy?"
I love his parents, Gary Cole and Jane Lynch are both so funny.
Step Brothers is a MUST if you've never seen it
100% he has to watch this it's a must see
I’m in
Added to my list, thanks for the suggestion.
@@AwesomeUSMovies I could see it easily becoming one of your favorites
The dinner scene is my favorite part.
I was at Talladega when they were filming this.
How fun for you
Hey Buddy! I see you recognizing actors!!! Also, your laughter is infectious. Great reation.
I think I got 7 right on this one but apparently I still missed the mom that was in 40 year old Virgin.
Christine Everhart is the name of the character in Iron Man. The actress is Leslie Bibb.
If you’re not first you’re last 😂
I love the cougar Karen !!! 😂
Michael Clarke Duncan was also in The Whole Nine Yards (2000) with Bruce Willis. Very funny movie.
Loved the cameo by Dale Jr. I Miss his Dad! PS they don’t just go in circles lol! ✌🏻☀️
Do to
R.I.P. Michael!!!!! ❤❤❤
As far as the "is nascar a sport" question. I can understand why people would say that its not, but its a little more physical than most people realize. The interior of the car is usually well over 100° and they maintain a heart rate of 120-150 bpm for 3+ hours. It's said that drivers can lose 5-10 pounds of sweat in a race.
I have to make a comment on books.
A lot of movies are based on awesome books kids.
So I say for years.. read the book first.
You create a movie in your head.
But the best part, you are the lead!
Watch the movie first, you see the movie.
Well said!
@@AwesomeUSMovies imagine 1986.
On the back my best friend on my Honda dirt bike to The Hague.
Top Gun and Aliens on the same viewing night.
None books I read 😂, but what a thrill
Did you watch Aliens?
I love this movie & most of all your reactions been watching u alooong time your laugh makes my day so thanks & bless u & yours😊
I'm so glad I can make you laugh
I remember when you first started and could no recognize anyone. You are getting much better.
Appreciate your support. Still have LOTS to learn.
favorite Will Ferral performance, and also it's the script with the best jokes.
This movie is a guilty pleasure for me
Another hilarious Will Ferrell movie is Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgandy
"Is Nascar a sport?"
Unfortunately, I have to argue that it is. It takes an incredible amount of endurance and mental focus to drive competitively in a high stress environment for hours on end, so I do think of the drivers as athletes. That, along with the basic rules, ranking system, and competitive circuit, make Nascar a sport.
Not one that I enjoy, but a sport nonetheless 😅
It can be serious and funny at the same time. Not so cut and dry.
There was once a driver named Dick Trickle (Yes, that was his real name). He had a cigarette lighter installed in his car so he could have a smoke while he was driving.
Pumped for this one! Also.. first!
If you're not first you're last
Usually don't take anything Will Ferrell does seriously! I still think anchorman is his funniest!
Iowa Farmer forgets watching a sports movie about an Iowa farmer and his "Field of Dreams"
Oh yeah, that one too
21:09 LMBO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dr Quinn medicine woman was a 90s ""soap"" based on a woman doctor in like the old dads when grandparents were young. My mom and i watched it when i was sick from school
Never heard of it
Thank You Sir for Your natural Reactions , helps me through the Day to see theese Movies with new Eyes 👍👊
Glad you like them!
If you are familiar with nascar, this movie hits doubly hard. They really did their homework.
James, I love watching movies with you!
So happy to hear it.. Tell your friends :-)
I find this timing of this release hilarious, with the real taladega race happening this weekend 😅
LOL, I had ZERO clue about that.
I'm not a NASCAR fan, but... as far as whether or not race car driving is a sport... I'd say yes, absolutely, 100% it is. It's not just going out for a Sunday drive. It's not all a matter of who has the best car. It's not simply driving in a circle. People who say things like that have no clue what they're talking about. If any of that were true... then there would be no superstar drivers who go on to place first in multiple events and are clearly so much better than their competitors. These guys are highly, highly skilled. Not to mention in peak physical shape, most of the time, as well. Driving is easy, sure. But driving a 1000 hp temperamental precision tuned machine at 200 mph for 5 hours straight? That is NOT easy. It's brutal. And then there's the fact that in some versions of motorsport, the cars are so incredibly optimized that a driver being 10 pounds overweight could make an actual difference in the performance characteristics of the car versus those its competing against, so these guys have to be as weight-conscious as Olympic wrestlers. (one of the many reasons why Will Farrell in the role is silly)
Anyway... yeah... it's a sport.
Honestly more people should like and subscribe! Worth it!
Appreciate you
The Wonderbread car is TOAST!😂
Yeah that is funny, I missed that joke.
Shaolin Soccer is another sports based movie, that doesn't take itself too seriously.
It’s def an absurdist comedy. Most Will Ferrell and Adam McKay (director) films have this tone. What is fascinating is Adam McKays more recent films have been more dramatic (with comedic elements) and award winning. The Big Short, Vice, and Don’t Look Up.
Talladega Nights is a parody of NASCAR.
This movie will always be my favorite comedy alongside Tropic Thunder.
Most comedies try too hard and that makes a lot of scenes and jokes annoying however Talladega Nights balances that comedy out so well that almost every scene is genuinely funny and it flows so well. 🤣
Highlander is a documentry filmed in real time and wone the award for best novie ever made.
I heard it was sh*t lol
@@AwesomeUSMovies only to the French cause of a duel sceen everywhere else loves it even the Egypt Scottish hypred Sean Connery concept

"I dont understand going in a big circle." Let me explain it. If it were a straight line you wouldn't see anything but the start of the race.
Yeah that would be boring. Put them on dirt and make them go in a figure eight. That's my kinda fun.
The best part about being a nascar fan is.. you drink and see how many crashes happen.
Ohhh got it
This gonna be hilarious 😂😂😂
Hope it was
Shake n bake!
Rudy is really close to being historyically accurate he is still the only play carried off the noltre dame field not from an injury
Don’t worry about saying NASCAR just goes I’m circles, it’s hard for non-fans to understand how difficult it is to run on a oval. NASCAR now has more road races than they used to and they are very exciting.
James if you want to watch a more serious Nascar movie check out "Days of Thunder". It stars Tom Cruse and has a similar story line, with another driver taking his place after an accident..
Please watch the Campaign with Will Ferrell and Zach Galafiinkas from The Hangover. I think you'd enjoy it. It is similar humor to this.
Love this movie! I love WESOME SMOVIES!!!😂😊
Yeah
Pizza actually is from America... the Italians did not invent it. Flatbread with toppings on it is a food that dates back farther than anyone knows, possibly to prehistory. In ancient Greece they called it pita. In Turkey today they called it pide. When the ancient Greeks colonized southern Italy and founded the city of Neapolis (New City, aka Napoli, aka Naples).. their colonists brought with them pita. Over time they started to mispronounce it pizza, and they used some different toppings. But it wasn't until Italian-American immigrants in Little Italy, New York City, put their own spin on the food that it became the version of itself that is today internationally famous and popular. It was in New York City that for the first time they used tomato sauce and mozzerella cheese spread evenly over the entire pie as a foundation upon which to put other toppings, not as a topping itself. It was in New York City that they first cooked the pie until it was semi-rigid and golden brown, then cut it into triangular or square shapes so that it could easily be held in your hand and eaten this way... (in Naples today traditional pizzerias still make "pizza" like a kind of grease soup in a bread bowl that needs to be eaten with a knife and fork) It was in New York City where they started putting on toppings like pepperoni, sausage, anchovies, onions, green peppers, mushrooms (can't claim olives.. that goes back to ancient Greece)... anyway... whenever someone in the world today from the United States, or Japan, or the UK, or Russia, or Egypt, or Australia, or Argentina, or Turkey, or Saudi Arabia, or India, or Spain, or Croatia, or, hell, even in most parts of Italy, says the word "pizza," or asks for or orders a food called "pizza," what they are thinking of, or ordering, and most of the time what they end up eating, is a food that was first made in New York City.

The movie that made me appreciate Will Ferrell. Loved the reaction as always
So good!
I'm from Talladega County Alabama!
Very pretty state but a little to hot for me.

There are cougars in missions!!!
This weekend (Oct 1st 2023) two NASCAR drivers who are teammates for Stewart Haas Racing are driving a Wonder bread car and an Old Spice car similar to the paint schemes in this at Talladega Raceway. All their promotions for the race are the drivers acting like the two drivers. It’s too bad they couldn’t get Perrier to do a sponsorship also. NASCAR was started from Moonshiners who had to drive fast to hide from the Feds. 6:23 that is allowed. There have been some drivers that wrecked out of the race and another driver couldn’t finish the race so they jumped in their car and finished. 8:15 yeah that’s Dale Earnhardt Jr. He’s actually one of the drivers who did sub for another driver before. The last year of his contract before moving teams he and Kyle Busch both wrecked out and his car was totaled but Kyle’s car was able to fix but he already left and thinking his car was done so they got Dale to finish which he was happy to cause he got to see what the equipment he’d be driving the next year was going to be like. 11:20 this remark is due to the kids names are Walker & Texas Ranger which is a Chuck Norris TV show and Dr Quinn Medicine Woman is almost the exact opposite of Walker Texas Ranger. 19:03 you missed the joke. “That Wonder Bread car is TOAST”. 33:32 the little stickers on the cars near the front are the sponsors of NASCAR. All drivers have to have those on their cars when they race. Although if one of the sponsors conflicts with a teams sponsor then they don’t have to have that sponsor on any of the teams merchandising. It only has to be on the car for the race. 37:17 the first Highlander is good. The other ones are not so good if you’re looking at continuity. The second and third ones are so so. They also did a TV series which is really good. Then they did a fourth movie where they brought the TV series into the movie and the fifth one is pretty good.
Some very interesting stuff
The reason nascar turns left is cause if you turn right we get an earnhart insident
Best sports based movie: "Miracle" with Kurt Russell. Guaranteed like.
I like your reconization john c riley most people dont first rhink of guardians of the galaxy, that made my milinium
Other than this one, I think of Chicago. And maybe "Stan and Ollie"
Fun fact: some drivers have lost up to 16 pounds over the course of a race weekend
Holy moly, crazy diet
Man I really wish more reactors would watch Days of Thunder before Talladega Nights
Added to my list, thanks for the suggestion.
Need Adam Sandler’ The Longest Yard!!! Also hilarious!
They star in Step Brothers together too

Cal is the lancealot in this story cause lancealot had an affair with authors wife and brought down the entire kingdom, and author kept forgiving him until lancealot made up for it, it was a subtle comment that tied it together
35:03 DOUBLE FISTING IT😅 SURE WHY NOT

Less than 3000 to go, so LET'S GO VIEWERS 🖒 Always look forward to the reactions 🎬 Enjoy your day!
You're the best!
How would Ricky Bobby's dad even know there are tickets waiting for him at every race?..and who buys tickets at the gate?..is that even possible anymore?..
The movie was almost 20 years ago...
fun fact: bobcat and cougar are the same thing. Pumas, and panthers also same species, just different colors.
Rip dale earnheardt
watch step brothers and holms & watson Will and John are both in these also
👍
well that's a weird joke i missed literally every time, but
the sons names, Walker, and Texas Ranger. Walker Texas Ranger was a tv show
the mom says, we would have named them Dr Quinn, and Medicine Woman. Dr Quinn Medicine Woman was also a tv show.
If you laugh during the whole movie then it's safe to say you're not supposed to take it seriously lol
Good technique for measurement
Get ready to cry lol
I dont know who wrote this report but they dont know anything about faulkner? I think that movie is already on this channel
Man I really miss blooper reels at the end of movies also fyi the first Highlander movie is awesome
The racing in circles are due to the fact that they wanted to sell tickets and going in a big circle allows patrons to see the majority of the action...
Also in the early days, they used horse racing tracks that were already built
And I don't get why going in circles is so bad....track stars and horses race on a circle track and nobody complains but they do for auto racing for some reason.
found it!
Now ya' goota watch Days of Thunder and see who ya' recognize. 😉
Added to my list, thanks for the suggestion.
Highlander is a good one to watch.
People go to nascar for the wrecks, no one wants to go deaf just watching 50 people turn left for 5 hours
Days of Thunder might help you understand Nascar a little better.
And for a Nascar adjacent heist movie - Logan Lucky
Added to my list, thanks for the suggestion.
