Excellent release. Whoever doesn't like cloth goods on these modern releases is crazier than anyone should be. The attention to detail as opposed to some plastic garbage, primarily pimped out by crappy action figure dolly companies, instead of quality artists producing works of art like this is phenomenal.😂❤
Haha, I agree. I think anyone who still says that soft goods don't look good in this scale stopped paying attention to them years ago, because they're incredible now.

Very solid figure I see, as expected from Muff Toys. I was surprised by how much your 007 holds up next to it, would still say with that headsculpt that it looks better than Muff!

@@natwolf687 Of course! Yep, for Dynamite. I wrote/drew an oversized one-shot called JAMES BOND: SOLSTICE (collected in James Bond: Case Files) that I'm extremely proud of, and I drew and co-wrote vol.2 of JAMES BOND ORIGIN, as well as doing covers for all 12 issues of it.
@@Ibrahim_M Wicked, I'll check those out. I read Warren Ellis' run and really enjoyed it. I also picked up the first two issues of Ennis' new run too.
Interesting comparison between the two versions. I certainly think the suit on your custom figure looks much more fitted and silhouetted. The hair you’ve done on your custom figure also looks like it should considering D.Cs hair in Casino Royale was quite spikey. Overall though I think the new figure has a great likeness to Mr Craig and a great addition to any collection.

Thanks so much, Rod! I actually had a bit that I can’t recall if I trimmed out of the video while editing, where I mention that his hair was a little longer/spikier in Casino Royale, haha. I’m tempted to give this new one the same hair treatment, because that would really elevate the realism, but I don’t want to risk messing it up as I’ve just got the one 😅

I doubt with your talent and ability that you would mess it up but as you say, having the one figure and making a mistake would be soul destroying. I think the hair on the new figure more or less matches his hair style in the later films he did. Whether it really matters is another thing but the perfectionist in me would like the authenticity and realism as you say. I’m sure you are the same about perfection in all you do.

The details of this figure is amazing . Am thinking of picking one up. The headsculpt is it removable? And do you happen to know if there are any Pierce Brosnan headsculpts in that scale that is compatible on that body? Thank you.
I haven't tried removing it, but it should be-- they always are. This one attaches at the base of the neck, so a replacement head would need a neck to go with it, but they can be 2 separate parts unlike this one which is one piece). There are Brosnan sculpts on eBay from Chinese sellers, but they often come unpainted. As of now, nobody makes one like this Craig version, I'm afraid.
I was just about to pull the trigger (so to speak) on ordering this guy, but you reminded me that I'd rather have a Craig bond in his CR grey suit than a tux, so I'm going to hold out.

Hey that looks like an Excellent figure!!! Thanks for the size/how it scales comparison. The Muff is quite a bit bigger than the DID figure, the Notabody must be close to 1/10 scale almost? Does anyone know who Muff toys is? Thanks again for the review.
Thanks very much! So, the figure and the Nota body are 1/12 scale as far as the western sizing conventions go; they’re the same size as a mezco one:12. But true 1/12 scale is more in line with the DID figure, or SH Figuarts, and other import 1/12 figures.
I would say that Mezco and muff figures are probably technically 1/11 scale, since they average about 6.4 inches tall.
Cool but I wish they had a Pierce Brosnan Golden Eye figure. He's my Bond. Never really got Craig as Bond.
I’m sure someone will make one at some point soon. I really live Dalton as a bond and am hoping to make my own custom at some point in the near future.
Where you get the Aston Martin? What company makes that? What scale?
I got it about 6-7 years ago on eBay-- unfortunately I've never seen another one and I don't know the brand because the battery cover is missing on the bottom and that's where it would say what it is. I wish some company would just start making these things already, lol.

(Yes,i had too! 😆 ) i like your custom Bond!,the real hair look is done well for the scale,also have you seen the pre order for Hell toys Gandalf (Grey Wizard?!,realistic hair being used on 1/12th scale!,looks good so far!)
But Mr Bond..who i got today,deluxe...sadly minus his suppressor! 😒 i can't tell you how great i think this is!,& yes I'm seriously thinking of getting another one!,his lack of articulation in the ankles is likely to stop the figure from doing a Michael Jackson smooth criminal lean on the base after time! 😅 i did ask Muff_toys for more versions of Bond & i don't think they said No!,anyway,can't wait to see what's next from them & you,Happy New year! 😁
Hey Paul! Great to hear from you, man! It's definitely been a bit longer than I'd like, but this Turtle Van is a TON of work, haha. I was glad that this came in to give me an excuse to get a video up. And thank you-- I always debate putting up reviews of new figures because there are always several by the time I get a figure in hand, lol. But it's fun to share my perspectives on them, which are sometimes unique. In this case, there was NO way I wasn't going to review a Bond figure, haha.
I'm glad you got one! And you make a great point about the ankles; so many figures fall over because of loose ankle joints. Not the case with this guy. Are there magnets in the heels like I was anticipating?
That Gandalf looks phenomenal, and I want to get it purely for the artistry of the figure, but LOTR isn't as much of a sweet spot for me, so I'm looking at this as one that I should abstain from simply to keep room for the things I'm a bigger fan of. My wife loves LOTR, though, so maybe I'll need to get it for her, haha. Happy New Year, my friend!
@Ibrahim_M Yes,there are magnets in the heels,either that or metal & the base is magnetic?!,but it is a nice base which elevates the figure more!,that sculpt...the initial photo just showed his jawline & nose blew me away!,you basically had that in part of your review,& yes,you must get Gandalf for your wife! 😉😆

The only drawback I see is the jacket is a bit too wide in the shoulders and waist, otherwise, great figure. That headsculpt at a 1/12 scale is amazing. Now imma go to 5ktoys and see if I can one too lol
Yeah, exactly. Someone pointed out that you could use another tiny magnet to cinch the waist, which is a good idea, but I think in a lot of poses it won't even be noticeable. I thought about swapping the jacket from my custom, but I love the lapels on this Muff version too much, haha.

Are you pretty sure that it is a NOTA body? I’m just asking because I also bought this figure and I really like it, and I want to have replacement bodies just in case it breaks.
I’m pretty sure. I’m super familiar with all of the blank bodies available in this scale, and the Nota body is the only one with those shoulder joints. It has the same fluidity+level of resistance to the articulation, too. But even if it’s not (only way I see it being something else is if they made their own body) I think a Nota body would work perfectly as a replacement if you need it to at some point.

@@Ibrahim_M thank you for the info, and yes I’m really loving this figure it looks soo good, especially the head sculpt! I would be sad if it breaks but there are always replacements. This is my first muff toys product and I’m looking forward to their Kryptonite Seeker (Knightmare Batman). Hopefully it releases soon.
@@one12perspective Yeah, that figure looks awesome. I already have the Mezco version, and I made a rule for myself not to double-dip on multiple versions of the same figure (except if the one I have is a custom that I made, then it doesn't count, haha)

Hmm, it's hard for me to say without seeing/feeling it myself, but you can use some of this sticky tack putty on the peg and in the socket and it will hold it in place well. This is commonly used with action figures and is removable.
