Ep. 304: The Hype is Real! WLToys 144001

It's not often that I'm truly shocked by a product, but the WLToys 144001 1:14 scale buggy exceeded my expectation in just about every conceivable way! That said, this awesome little buggy is NOT a good choice for a 1st-time RC'er.... because it's a little too good. It's so powerful, so responsive, and frankly so heavy a newbie is almost guaranteed to get themselves in trouble with it. However, if you ARE an experienced RC driver, this thing is pretty amazing for the price. 🤩

The transmitter has a throttle limiter, so it can be used by beginners. The dial is under the steering trim.

I did not notice that! I thought it was a throttle trim. Thanks for the heads up.
That said, I still would be hesitant to give this car to a newbie right out of the box because of all the aluminum parts. I've seen a lot of comments that it can bend pretty badly in wrecks... and newbies tend to wreck a lot.
Don't get me wrong. I absolutely LOVE this car, but think it may be better suited for intermediate drivers and above.
