I have normal food plots in the woods oats wheat late planted beans winter rye in one where all I do is rake it out and on the other half it is brassicas which is 1/2 acre the other plot is whitetail institute clover in a plot thats 20 yard by 25 yards and I use throw in grow got erosion control on a spot 10 yards by 15 yards that was going to be a kill plot pot it's just deer traveling ik deer won't eat this blend unless it's only green they have so I use for erosion

thanks for watching. While it did grow very easy, however I do not recommend throw and grow due to it mainly consisting of rye grass. It would be good if you want to make a small "kill plot" but there are definitely better options. This year I did a no till plot with seeds from northwoods whitetail and whitetail institute and winter rye purchased local and its working fairly decent.

Guy you needed to use a seed spreader to properly broadcast the seed out, not the way you did it. You wasted so much of it by not dispersing it evenly. This stuff works well without even raking or mowing or any work really, but with any seed it helps to make direct contact with the soil itself rather than laying on a bed of grass and weeds. You could have gotten much better and more of a bigger and even patch of growth by throwing it upwards and letting it fan out onto the ground.

Well what in the world did you expect to see? When I clicked on the video I already knew it would be a dude throwing seed and talking about deer.
