  • PGA playing professional Mark Hensby has won on the PGA Tour, the European Tour, the Korn Ferry Tour, was a member of the Rest of the World Presidents Cup Team and represented Australia in the WGC World Cup partnering Peter Lonard. Mark tied 5th in The Masters at Augusta, won by Tiger Woods, tied 3rd in the US Open at Pinehurst, 5 shots off winner Michael Campbell and tied 15th in the Open Championship at St Andrews, also won by Tiger Woods.
Here, Mark generously sent us a video where he talks about how he uses his PlaneSWING and PowerSLIDER (not a roller), a 1.5kg solid aluminium rod with a hardened rubber sleeve, in his training and places an emphasis on exaggeration of particular movements in practice to help him take required changes to the course.
You'll see that like most amateurs, Tour pros are also often fighting against taking the club on the inside with the left shoulder rising as a consequence.
Cause and effect is what we at PlaneSWING Golf always aim to establish and communicate to golfers in order that they can gain understanding of how symptoms occur and how to address the cause.
PlaneSWING is designed to highlight the simplicity of the golf swing movement. The importance of the swing plane and the key determinants of achieving it, grip, posture and alignment ,must never be underestimated.
Note the stability in Mark's lower body, the excellent sequencing of body and arms and maintaining dynamic posture at impact.

    Hi,
Welcome to my PlaneSWING CZcams channel. I'm Tony Clark and I'm committed to sharing with as many people as possible just how easy teaching and learning golf can be.
What does Growing the Game really mean? Is it getting more people to try golf? Filling up the golf courses? To me, growing the game starts with retention. Too many people are dipping in and out because they find golf too difficult. At PlaneSWING we are changing that.
"PlaneSWING should change the entire way golf is taught" Jeff Carine, Carine Golf Academy
At the PlaneSWING Academy in Orlando, Florida we focus on simplicity of message and FUN in our golf coaching. We expedite learning through a kinesthetic experience where people FEEL how the golf swing should feel. In minutes their level of understanding is hours ahead of where they'd be with "regular" instruction and in an hour they are weeks ahead. It's that dramatic and it's that simple.
Please get in touch if you'd like to learn more about the PlaneSWING Programs

Speaks volumes when a professional of Mark's caliber talks about PlaneSWING's ability to help overcome bad tendencies!

Thanks Tony. We are always learning and Mark's video is fascinating. I think that golf instructors, Tour players and amateurs will find it very interesting and also comforting to hear from a proven winner on Tour that they battle the same challenges that all golfers battle!

I didn’t realize the planeSwing was designed to have the club trainer come off the rail? I’ve had the planeSwing for 6 years. I Have never been able to get the take away plane and the down swing plane on a good plane at the same time. I either work on the take away plane, with full turn, or adjust the swing plane for the down swing plan. I guess I can start using it like you with the club coming off the rail. The swing plane trainer can cause more harm than good if u don’t have it set up correctly. Thank u for the video!

Hi Ken, Thanks for your comment. PlaneSWING is not "designed" to have the PowerSLIDER come off the circle. What Mark is showing here is how he uses it to exaggerate a movement in order to change a movement. PlaneSWING is one of the most versatile training aids out there and works for golfers with a wide variety of swings from Bryson DeChambeau to Dustin Johnson to Tommy Fleetwood to Darren Clarke and so on, literally for beginners to major winners. I can't find any record of you ever having bought the PlaneSWING directly from us, but if you'd kindly send me an email to tony@planeswing.com with your phone number, then I'll call you and we can set up a video lesson with my compliments to ensure you're using PlaneSWING correctly. If you haven't bought the PlaneSWING from us or any of our approved sellers you may have bought a pre-owned PlaneSWING without the comprehensive instructional support we offer which has proven so successful. I look forward to hearing from you. Tony

I used to hit balls into a net in my garage but I really did a number on the dry wall w miss hits 😂
One of these would be more productive use of my time and I’d do a lot less damage 👍

Plane swing is a great traing aid but the last thing you want to think about is body position that tells me the ball is your target and it should never be your target is allways out in front of you just my opinion cheers bob

Hi Zavier, Mark is 5'8" so with the long PowerSLIDER I expect he had the PlaneSWING angle set at -1. Tony (Clark)

So you think this is worth the money? Which version did you get?

    • @planeswinggolf

Hi Curt, Mark bought the birdie package with long & short PowerSLIDERs. He loved it enough to kindly film and send us a lengthly video of how he uses it and what he likes about it, so I guess he feels it's worth the money. We're proud that Mark, DJ, Tommy Fleetwood, Bryson, Rich Beem, Shaun Micheel, the game's leading coaches and golfers in over 80 countries have a PlaneSWING and provide us with unsolicited and wonderful testimonials. I believe this highlights how versatile it is. I'm always happy to chat. My email is onplane@planeswing.com & tel USA 256-282-9098 / UK 07870 562777

      JD,
PlaneSWING is priced based on the minimum margin we require to deliver a quality product, unrivaled service and a stable business to meet the needs of our customers. Please forgive me if my response seems patronizing; it isn't meant to be, but I think that people not in manufacturing and retail sometimes don't appreciate what it costs to bring a product to market.
In a product's development you have research and development, design, tooling, materials and manufacture. On-going you have marketing costs, personnel costs, warehousing costs, office costs and other day to day costs in operating a business.
Once the product is manufactured we have to pay for
      - QC (quality control),
      - Shipping of container from factory to port of departure
      - Shipping to port of destination
      - Once arriving at the port of destination we pay duties, taxes and customs clearance fees
      - Then the container must be trucked to the warehouse
      - Once at the warehouse it must be unloaded and stored
      - Now we begin paying storage fees
      - Upon receipt of orders the goods must be picked and labeled for despatch
      - Then we have to ship the goods via a recognized carrier, it our case UPS ground.
Each one of these steps has a cost.
It's worth checking with UPS the cost of shipping a PlaneSWING box 70x22x9inches weighing 74lbs from say Orlando to Texas or Orlando to California, our two biggest markets in the US.
Once you've calculated all of these costs, even if you're 30% lower than they actually are, I truly believe that you'll see our pricing as extremely reasonable and an absolute steal considering its performance. In fact in 10 years we have only had one increase in the selling price, having swallowed supplier costs to keep our price as low as possible.
Note that we also offer a payment plan.
So whether or not your stat of 90% is correct, depends on how you look at it. You have to understand the unrivaled support we offer; what the product delivers and how we make this one time purchase affordable. Bizarrely people are content to pay $400 plus for a driver (which depreciates at 30% the moment you receive it) and around $1,000 on a new set of irons, and not invest that money in better swing understanding and their body. This ultimately leads to disappointment. We guarantee not to disappoint. We guarantee to support our thousands of customers across over 80 countries. We guarantee that PlaneSWING will deliver on its promise of rapid improvement and consistency through greater swing understanding and we guarantee money back through our 30 day promise.
If you are unable to afford a PlaneSWING then I'd definitely recommend that you visit one of our many professionals that use PlaneSWING in their coaching. If you email me at onplane@planeswing.com and let me know where you're located I'll endeavour to find a PlaneSWING Pro near you so you can book a lesson on one if you haven't already done so.
      Kind regards,
      Tony Clark

Trust me, add up the money you spend on lost golf balls this thing will pay for itself in no time when your ball is down the middle! 😂 Not to mention all these other training aids... 90% of those are gimmicks! God knows I tried most of them!

PlaneSwing admin; is there any place I can see how the wheel away and storage/collapsing function of the swing plane works when not in use? And how heavy it might be to move it etc
