But this simply means after your wedding you can't go back home until your 3rd month anniversary as a wife, so the slaughtering part is to re-introduce you as a wife ( some families add your new name that was given to you by your in laws in the process of speaking to the ancestors) and the shaving of your hair simply means that you're removing your old hair as a girl and you're now a woman, hence you even have to give away your old clothes because you're no longer a girl but a woman.
