Absolutely brilliant! Great for students to practice driving on! something to do with the semi-retired little tractors and mowers and occupy the semi-retired manpower too!
Won' be long dear I am just going to combine the lawn - gives a whole new meaning to the world of mowing. What a cool item to have at the front of your garage when the doors are up - you'll make the neighbours 'green' with envy. Now that's one up on them.
That's my uncle Kirk. Sadly that machine was stolen 2 years ago. He has been working on a new one but he accidentally cut his thumb off while adjusting the sickle bar on it. Hopefully he will have his new one done in time for the 2019 Clifford County fair.
I would build it either to discharge it (either as a swath or mulched) or throw it in the hopper, then discharge it out the pipe for bagging. But that's me.
a reel mower will leave a better lawn cut than spinning blades UNTIL you find a stick that doesnt break away or a rock or something else in the yard what wold be cool is if the clippings got captured and then baled
I think places like a golf course would have a need for this. A bagging reel mower. A golf cart or something pulling a collection trailer beside it just like a regular combine set up. I hope who ever stole it gets mulched by it.
Its called a REEL MOWER commonly used on golf courses, specifically on the greens. Reel mowers allow for a more calculated cut, they are actually the best lawn mower to mow any lawn with but they are so expensive most people cant afford them to mow their lawn. Golf courses use them because they need to keep the greens cut very VERY VERY low to allow for a fast ball speed too high of a cut and the golf balls wont roll . I make a living every day working on these awesome mowers. I would recommend buying one if you can afford the high price.
go to a local course sometimes theyll sell you an old blade or bedknife for pretty good price . Its better if you buy the blade and bedknife as a set (off the same mower)
Reel mowers in my day were push mowers - cut lawn grass well - very even, but were not good in weeds - the gas powered reel mowers were very expensive, and now most are used only on golf greens.
Very splendid ! Just be sure, to keep in mind, AT ALL TIMES.....that that auger, is there. For students, DISMOUNT IT, remove it completely, thereby allowing you to get as close as possible ( ACAP) to buildings/structures, mowing it all ! Great ' build '. Where is the engine ? Very low, i hope, for the machines stability and safety.
That's a very slow and expensive zero turn there but I think it's pretty cool I would never buy one to actually use it as a mover but it would be great to just have for fun
Imagine making a small wheat "field" at your garden/backyard and harvest it with that. :D
..mullet for bird seed....grows like black corn too ...
If only those Grass Clippings would come out of the Side Auger or the Rear, that would be even Cooler.
Absolutely brilliant! Great for students to practice driving on!

Living the dream, not sure what else you can say. I wouldn’t care if it took 5 hours to cut my lawn I’d still drive this.
Whoever made this has some serious metal working skills

The thumb or the combine?
@@zachburns6882 - thumb obviously, nobody can grow a new combine!
grassgobbler72
Did this one actually pick up the cut grass - and did what to it?
Sorry to hear about your uncle cutting his thumb off. I hope they catch the scum who stole his machine.
Surprised you couldn't find it not like everyone has one
What great craftsmanship!!! Thanks for posting...
Coolest lawn mower I've ever seen!
That is actually pretty cool
That is really neat that is one nice piece of engineering. Thumbs up all the way
Very cool and unique!
That is just ridiculously awesome.
That is too cool!!
Marty this is the 7th time you cut the grass today!!
That,s really cool!!
That's awesome!
Thats really cute!
I agree, great craftsmanship. It looks ready for the field. I like it.
If it mows extra tall grass and weeds like a large combine. Yep, I'll need one of those.
That’s just neat as it can be.
That is the coolist mower i ever seen!
You have some skills sir !
I need this for my small farm to harvest 3-5 acres,Ha! great job...you should sell them to hobby farmers.
Awesome. does it store the grass in like the combine and out the hopper? or does it just blow it all out?
pleasureme2 it looks like it just drops it on the ground like a regular mower
I would build it either to discharge it (either as a swath or mulched) or throw it in the hopper, then discharge it out the pipe for bagging. But that's me.
(Posted by Rick Pickell) That machine is a trip.
look at how happy he is lol
Now that's a REEL mower!
Be intresting if gas or desiel fuel motor and what type they used! Plus get cab to on included protect driver from bugs !
just love it

Real lawn mowers did have spinning metal blades. And you pushed them by hand
@@bradlomad4597 no reel mowers have a fixed blade. The part that moves forces grass past blade
Cool as hell
That is so cool

I could see a future in those... id love one of those, but with a cab and AC lol
Give it a cab but Natural ac is better 😅
Look out on those hills!

Hubby that is AWESOME and says he NEEDS one
That took some time to build. I bet the neighbors were stunned.
That's just awesome, wish it was a Gleaner

Jeep Man Do u know what size motor is running this

Ryan Bullerman its probably a kawasaki engine i would guess about 18 to 23 HP thats what they usually come with from the factory.
Nice!
Ppl where l'am would go love this
That's pretty cool😀
That is so AWESOME!!!!!! I want one, where can I get it?
I could see me driving into a customers yard with that mower.
Same
i saw a more advanced version of one before it was so cool
J'adore
Ooh, I wonder if they can actually make them to harvest in small gardens.
This is exactly what i need to to get right up next to the fence and also around the garden.
Way to harvest those clover blooms..😀
Very cool
that look cool
Finally John Deere made a combine that doesn’t throw grain over, how long has that taken!
Imagine if the grass actually came out the auger
Smart but does the auger unloading system work like it's bigger and full size relatives for the John Deere harvester line
Good idea
I would love to know how you made this
Awesome
I want one now
Its soo looooud
ILL PAY I NEED THAT lol
Wouldn't want it if it just mowed, just a novelty, but if it harvested seed, wow.
That thing is legit.
dude i want one so bad now
that is so spiffy
kirk kopak z
Do you have the building plans, or know someone who does?
Really cool , could have made a New Holland hay cutter version .
Fun and cool
Where do I get one?
that's so silly and cute
Cóz to, kombajn do stokrotek?
There is no end to the depravity of old men with tools and materials. Just 'cause ya can, don't mean ya should. But it looks kinda fun.
holy crap how did you make that? i need to make one, time to get the oxy acetylene
TAKE MY MONEY
harvesting all the clover...!

Where can you order one? Awesome
Looks like it's homemade I didn't see any grass coming out the shoot and why's the back coming off the ground
Cool
That’s 😎 cool
I need one of these. Whom should I make the check out to?
I love ke it does he still have the plans
Nice
That's a very slow and expensive zero turn there but I think it's pretty cool I would never buy one to actually use it as a mover but it would be great to just have for fun
Try it, on a 6 inch high lawn/grassy area......then, post THAT VIDEO . THANKS, GREAT CREATIVE WORK ! * no plastics, involved !
haha you can take the man away from the farm, but you can't take the farm away from the man....
I WANT !!!
I would buy one of these or pay for the plans to build my own
Where did u get the reel blade?
looks like that thing would be good for cleaning horse paddocks
How do you empty the grass clippings out?
The clipping that travel up the feeder housing are conveyed to the back like the straw would be on a real combine
Dear Santa!!
I had a real john deere 45 it was so wore out I just couldn't save it and keep it harvest worthy anymore
I wanna see mow grass
I want one! Where can I get this machine? ??????
Grass harvesting lol use it to make compost or something.
Growing up in Mexico I was told life in the USA was much easier,,,yep they were right..
good one
at least it is John Deere
Where do you get those?
Its homemade
