❤️ Sugar is a female and is the sweetest pomeranian. You'll fall in love with Sugar's sweet personality as she speaks from the dog's point of view. She loves her mamma and loves to sleep, her two favorite things! Sugar has a lot of health problems. She is blind, has seizures, and is losing her hair (dog alopecia). She is quite a trooper, and we are going to hang onto her as long as we possibly can.

Poms are absolutely beautiful and have one the cutest faces imaginable! My only thing I don't love so much might actually be the tail? Not sure how easy it is to see them wagging? But the wagging tail is one my favorite things a dog does.

🙋♂️Hello Kitty, Sugar and Pixie 😘🐶🐶🐶 Brings a smile to my face to see you and other kinds of Pom's. I see our past Pom's here as an 80's kid, but we didn't know about such things. Back then there were only 3 kinds of dog: little ones, medium sized ones and big ones! Lol! Our Pom's from the 80's until our last Pom (August 5th, 2016, RIP, Baby🙏) were Teddy Bear Pom's. Awesome friend share photos 👍
lol, I'm the same with the 80's, didn't know pure-breads where within reach. Though all we'd ever have were muts. Loved them, but muts all the same.
We just got our Pom 4 days ago. She’s so tiny. She’s 12 wks old. 3 lbs of cuteness. Full of attitude lol funny story..we got her from a pet store where they named her pixie. We named her sugar(but spelled it… sugah) (because she’s sweet, she’s brown lol )when I heard your baby’s names it made me smile. Lots of love for your babies.. especially my babies namesake Sugar!❤

We have a gorgeous 18 lb. throw back Pomeranian that’s a cinnamon, white, & brown combination. She’s fun, playful, sweet, calm , loving dog.
Only down fall is she doesn’t like ANY KIDS. I don’t know how’s she knows the difference between kids & adults but somehow she does .
Other than that she’s a sweetheart.

I have a throwback fox face pom, he is cream and white colored, with orange around his ears they get highlighted when he bathes, he is sooo cute even if he is a bit bigger, he is soo handsome, he is confident yet so gentle, he is a great guarding dog and very well trained, while blanca who is still too young she is too cute black, orange and white on her paws, she is a fox face and a bit wild, she is being trained baby steps as to i do not want her to hate training. Potty training is hard for her we are still having accidents other than tht she is adjusting and learning. They are my 2 fur babies ❤

Pomeranians belong to the Spitz family of dogs, and my "dream" Spitz would be the Norwegian Lundehund- to match my personality, lol! But in all honesty, in all my life, I and my family have never bought a dog from the store or breeder. We've always saved a rescue doggo, we've "foster failed" so many other furfamily members, and I personally and physically took away and took into my home Mr Pepe Chihuahua from an abusive family in 2006 when Denver was lil' rougher place. Pepe was a new tradition in our Pom family, and we've had Chihuahua's ever since, now 😁
that's awesome! My dad always got rescue dogs, I didn't even think to look for a pom at a shelter. Maybe next time. I've never seen a Norwegian Lundehund. I'll have to look that one up. We've had other breeds, but once I got a Pom I couldn't stop getting them..... Now I have three I need to stop. lol

Loved this video, very informative and those dogs are so cute, i think now i have a throwback pom called Basil, his parents are so small, but he has grown very big and currently 7.3 kilos, his colouring is like a wolf, grey, white, brown, a real mixture and such a character 🐶

I have a purebred Pom that is primarily white with black 'freckles' and his face is solid black and white and he looks like a panda bear...hence his name. He is a throwback and weighs 13.8 lbs but is overweight and needs to lose about 1.5 lbs more. I get stopped about 35 times at Walmart 'your dog is sooo cute! can i pet him?' sometimes it is yes and sometimes no with Panda. he is very calm and sweet natured. i have him groomed in a 'lamb' cut. i think he has the 'teddy bear' face.

My Pomeranian is a fox face 🦊
Love the video .i think my pom is the baby face type .his name is poquito lobo and he is 1 year old this month. His mom was 3 pounds and his dad was 2 pounds .lobo was the smalest in his litter he weighs 8.6 pounds at his last vet vissit .looks like both of us will be on a diet this year!! Have a great new year this year 🙂❤

This was so helpful! My Pomeranian puppy is huge and both his parents are 6lbs so I was wondering if maybe he wasn't purebred. Looks like he's definitely going to be a throwback.
isn't that so crazy? Throwbacks are a surprise we didn't know we wanted! I love it! How old is your puppy? And do you know how much he weights?
@@justthisandthat. he is just over 4 months and weighs almost 11 lbs. The vet says dogs' adult weight is usually double what it was at 4 months so she's thinking he'll be 20 lbs at full grown!
Throwback are due to the spitz gene. Watch weight, speed of development and limit jumping until after 18 months.
Check with your vet about switching puppy food 9 to 10 months before 1st year.
Ours had a throwback father and 6 lbs mother. We spent $10k having his knees and later ACL repair.
Buy pet insurance to avoid financial hardship and monitor fat content of food served.
My brother has a pomeranian similar to one of the ones in the video (sorry I don't have a time stamp for reference). He's a mix, we think with chihuahua. We call his tail a feather duster tail. 😂 He's a nut! Ever since he was a puppy, he would get excited and happy to see us, and stand on his hind legs and dance. No one taught him that, he just did it one day and we've been laughing since.

My Grym medical alert pom, is over a year now. Hes a bear face and still changing colours. Hes gone from pure black to orange, white and cream and now more dark and cream. His parents are 6 and 7 pounds, hes a throwback at 13 pounds and solid muscle and healthy lean. Were not sure if hes still growing... I was fine with it. Hes a working dog after all.
that is the best story I have heard so far! You got a little bit of everything in one short year! Thank you for sharing that with us! We love him already! Our throwback is also solid muscle. He doesn't look as heavy as he really is! I love that he is a medical alert dog! Poms are the BEST!!
I have had two throwbacks back to back. They were both over 20 pounds. My first Pom was solid black and the Pom I have now is tri colored. They were from two different breeders.

Poms that are white with another colour are called Parti Poms. We have had six Poms and have had all the faces mentioned and right now we have a throw back Pom ... both her parents were four lb champions and Korra is nine lbs. Our tiniest Pom Abby has a baby doll face.

Hello! I have a 10 month old fox face pomeranian. I wanna ask, do your fix face Pomeranians bark a lot? Specifically, barking at random stranger and dogs when walking? My dog would bark non-stop if he sees another dog. He would even stand up, jump, and pull as hard as he can to go up to strangers and dogs.
Yes, still at 1 1/2 years Pixie barks at strangers and other dogs. We are working on socializing, but it takes a long time. Keep them at a distance where they are not reacting, then give treats from that distance. That is the best advice we've received, then get closer. If they start barking again, create more distance. It's hard when she see's people of dogs walking by the house. We try to not let her have a lot of access to the windows. Keep working at it. Sugar and Kitty are much better at not barking than they used to be.
Pomeranian can be vocal but socialization outside home including training can curb that fight response you are seeing. Defining when to bark not scolding can also provide direction they will learn to curb unnecessary or ill mannered behavior.
Often have more than one, they feed off each other.

Pomeranian can have both teddy and fox because they are one of the few breeds to blow out their cheeks.
Throwback are often 5lbs at 8 weeks so obviously you know you have one.
They also shouldn't exceed 17 lbs with ligaments and joint issues. They don't develop at the same rate or speed which can cause knee and ACL damage.
Pomeranian can also be calico.

Ask your vet about Meticam. It can reset what you are seeing within months so you only need periodically. Power joint also is a great supplement every other day. Our last senior lived 17 years.

I've noticed that, Mr. Cutie! Sugar also has an underbite!
Dental can repair that young during spay or neuter. Otherwise it can still be repaired with less success but better oral health.
