I so relate what you said about Middle Eastern culture and help with kids. In Albanian culture it’s sooo normal to grow up with your grandparents and our tradition is literally that when a woman gives birth, her mum comes to stay with her for a minimum of 40 days to help with the baby and recovery, and that’s the minimum. It’s so crazy that women are shamed for getting help. It takes a village!!! You’re doing great.

I refuse to have baby #2 without my mom being able to move in with us for a couple of months! She couldn’t bc of covid with my daughter. It’s a blessing to have that support and should honestly be normalized. New moms NEED it ❤️

One of my fav things about Naz is how understanding she is when it comes to generational differences! Most people our age these days are very impatient with their parents because of how different we are from them but it’s important to keep in mind they grew up completely different compared to us and I love how she respects that 💕

I think when first time parents prepare for parenthood whether through books, videos, blogs, forums etc it really builds confidence! Yes! I had my son and I told everyone I felt like a Sim for the first few weeks. Literally just feeding, changing, and putting him to sleep. It was hard for me but now it’s nice that he has own little personality and shows affection ❤️

Naz you don’t even know how much your views and your approach to motherhood saved my life. I found out I was pregnant in November and saw nothing but negativity surrounding motherhood online. So many women bitching and complaining and having this nagging negative attitude towards motherhood. It depressed me my whole first trimester. I was looking desperately for someone to truly radiate positivity and love for motherhood. And I’m so glad I started watching your mommy Vlogs because they literally saved mine and my child’s life. You radiate so much love for your child and for motherhood and you truly see that you genuinely love being a mother and I could not find that anywhere. Any time I felt depressed I just put your mom vlogs on and they truly help begin to change my views and perspective about my pregnancy. I also love that you are not ashamed to say that you use your support systems. I also plan to use my parents and in-laws as a strong support systems and I see one of the main reasons why all these mothers are so miserable is because they refuse to use their support systems or they simply don’t have them. But even if they do have them it’s like they’re just not allowed to use them and I don’t understand where that mentality came from. But it’s definitely causing all these women to just hate being a mother because they don’t get any help and they do everything by themselves and they’re all complaining and nagging about it and spewing all this negativity into the world because they refuse to use have any help. It’s definitely an American thing because almost everyone else around the world knows it takes a village to raise a child. America is also having the lowest birth rates in the world right now because of this idea of motherhood being unbearable and this whole “you can’t use any help” mentally is a huge contributor to that. Thank you for all you do and spreading you love and light 💕

Our first is turning one and I was hearing so much when I was pregnant and early postpartum about “just surviving” the first year and everything is so hard and awful, but honestly the first year has been 95% wonderful! Definitely hard moments but much much more joy. You’re going to do great!

In reference to your expansion question, my parents added a room into their apartment because the living room was massive. It was super affordable and such a good idea because there was so much space to fill. You literally can’t tell that it was even an extended living room before. I say definitely go for it! It’s such a good investment, especially if you love your neighborhood! :)

I can definitely relate to how involved grandparents are in certain cultures. I was surprised to see that when I had my kids, their dad's side of the family was barely involved, I felt like I had to beg for help and beg for a babysitter. I think it’s different for young women who get pregnant “unexpectedly” and then can’t assume responsibility for their kids and rely on their parents to raise their kids.
Your case is completely different. It’s not because you’re unprepared. So why not accept the help from your parents . I’m sure your parents love being grandparents. It’s a luxury , but that’s not your fault for having awesome parents lol. And twins is going to be rough, so I think it’s wonderful you’re going to have your parents to lean on. It’s going to help with your sanity , and make everyone happier. Haters gonna hate . Lol

Girl in other countries, family members go for a month long to help out and make sure they have support to help the mother, because they know how tough it is on mother's. Having help should not be frowned upon if you have it great! Once again Congratulations Naz!
girl yes you can definitely expand your home! my parents didn’t plan on having 6 of us lol but when 3 more showed up by surprise they didn’t wanna buy a new house so they ended up expanding and just adding on to the house! i would suggest doing that if it’s worth it to you! also, you’re glowing! 🤍🤍 going through pregnancy with you has been fun, being able to see your symptoms and what not! love it 💗
When i first had my daughter, i didn’t feel like that “connection” right away like other moms say, until like you said 2 months or so. But i also feel like it was just so much going on at that time as well. But i love that little girl so much! ❤️
