I have ADHD and I'm a witch since I was a kid. I started by practicing divination when I was 9 in 1989. Now I just turned 43 in July and I'm still learning so much. The inner dragon work is absolutely something I would want to try out! I'm that sort of person who needs it very much 😂 I'm 42 this year and I still feel so young and insecure in many ways, especially around other people. For me dark moon time happens during those nights that the moon is not visible, while new moon happens when the crescent starts appearing in the sky. Also I have Arabic roots and in Arabic world that’s how they see it as well.

I decided to do this version of cord cutting today. I've felt so low on energy thanks to many events in my life lately. I became very emotional after the beginning. It allowed me to let go of so much I was carrying that I didn't realize was leeching my energy and power. It is amazing! I feel lighter and more energetic already! Last dark/new moon I decided to craft a survival ritual...but how was I never aware of the term Dark Moon 😂 can't believe I missed that for years. Makes so much sense thank you for your content 🙏
The dark moon phase is the most important one in my practice. Time to check in with my Dark Goddesses, do shadow work & also when I do protection workings, re energise wards etc.
I particularly like to do most of my dark moon work when it is at 0% but will do the work either side of that too if I need to. It’s not a new moon to me until there is a visible slither of moon in the sky.

So grateful for the timing and content of this. As a performer, there are times that I feel very rundown, or honestly kind of shitty for lack of a better description, after certain shows. Acknowledging, obviously, how the dopamine balancing system comes in to play, it's not always always logical like it not being my best work or the audience was tepid- sometimes I have no "reason" to feel that way and my natural inclination is always to think well what did I do wrong or what do I need to do better? I hadn't even thought about the intense energy exchange that is happening between myself and 150 people every time, some just with eye contact, but some with actual physical interaction. You made me realize that I probably have a million little energy cling-ons which don't always come from a great place and certainly do not need to stay on me. I'm definitely going to start implementing the minor chord cutting it with my athame. Thank you!

I tend to release leading up to the new moon and tend to use the day before for dark moon work. I’ve always enjoyed celebrating new beginnings on the day of the new moon. It’s such a big day for me so I like to keep it focused on new goals, not past releases. It’s like a total refresh/restart sometimes for me.
vampiric magic seems so interesting to learn about and it would definitely be a cool topic for you to cover because you make these topics really fun to learn!! also i have always felt a connection to dragons and that part where you mentioned working with dragons intrigued me do you perhaps know any resources for that as well?

I usually watch YT on TV but I had to search this video on my laptop to comment. I tried the athame cord cutting of energetic ties for the first time. I've never done anything like that (besides basic cleansing exercises) and I was SHOCKED!! I don't have an athame so I blessed a regular knife for the working. I started to run the blade around my head and I could FEEL the strings! There were thousands! Like hairs all over my body. I made several passes and got a lot off but I think I'll do it again tomorrow.
Certain body parts had more ties than others and as the ties fell away I felt like "oh, I forgot about you! Yes! Definitely want to trim that away!" I cleansed myself, the knife, and the space after. It was kind of like cancelling subscriptions that I had forgotten I was still paying for. Thank you for that advice, I think I'll sleep better tonight!!

i looove the idea of posting ritual ideas timely to current celestial events!! i am so bad with planning out and then carrying through with rituals or spells, primarily bc my virgo doesn’t let me do anything short of perfection so it just sucks all the fun out of the craft. plus my energy levels w chronic illness are so unpredictable, so i really have to take advantage of inspiration and motivation spontaneously, or else all my energy will be used in…just trying to figure out what i want to do haha.
this format of offering up inspiring ideas right around the time of the relevant transit is soooo helpful for me.
ps, i admire you so much for being so SO active in your craft and your practice despite being chronically ill. AND in school AND working??? that’s so badass

I can’t remember if I have a book about the inner dragon or not … I’ll have to look for it, but I think I’d like to incorporate it into my magic practice. I also need to start collecting full, dark, and new moon waters again. I like to collect storm water … It’s so powerful to me. Especially when the thunder is rolling and the lightening is striking. I’ve found that the best way to catch a good amount of storm water quickly is to catch it from my front porch gutter! I can catch a lot in a small amount of time. I love to do cord cuttings. It's a first step to start the journey of move on from someone that is affecting you for me. I don't particulary use the two candles method but the idea is the same. I like to use a candle like if it was the other person and i vizualize that cord that is tied to me and cut it letting the candle completely burn off. Usually i have an elemental setting and use my wand to do the cutting :> First time commenting but loving your content

Thank you for this perfectly timed video! Dark moon tonight and I have a scrying session in mind. I will add or include three of your suggestions: minor cord cutting to bring back my energy (I have ME); calling my inner dragon, because my power animal spirit Lion is calling me to move from focusing solely on the divine feminine to focusing now on the divine masculine, which I will like to get some guidance for; and a weight loss spell, for the first time ever. @@IvyTheOccultist I enjoyed a long scrying session. It was deeply peaceful. I saw my inner dragon's head in my mirror telling me that I am old, older than my flesh and blood and bones, that energy is in and around me but it doesn't translate to my flesh and blood and bones, and that's okay, because what I need to focus on is the energy.
Not getting it back physically. That's not important and would be a lost cause if I tried. My chronic illness is by-the-by in this. I need to focus on the magical energy, my dragon said, which is here for the using. Using outward with divine masculinity now as well as inward with the divine femininity that I have focused upon solely until recently. Outward, reaching certain other individuals in the occult community.
Lion gives me strength and protection. I don't need to be concerned about that. It simply exists.
A quiet, peaceful, powerful experience.
thank you for mentioning new moon vs dark moon. i never think of it as "new" -just wax, wane, full, & dark. (i guess i consider the waxing crescent 'new-ish). i'm totally surrounded by trees and cannot see the moon anyway! -ha! - also, i think the Dragon Magick vid is a great idea for many reasons; for example, i know i would click on that no matter what my beliefs are, just to see for curiosity... -peace, and thank you again. 🌙

Thank you! I think the opinion on this differs from practitioner to practitioner and there's no right answer here. But in general, I would say it's probably a good idea to use your dark moon water before the next dark moon. 😊 If I'm being really picky, I like to use my dark moon water within the same week, but that's just me!

I can put the salt in the path they are walking by, but at least 2 other neighbours have to cross that path as well. Can I still do it and use my intention to just this neighbour? They mistreat their kids and their animals so much... and also do bad to other animals (pets of other neighbours)😢

Excellent video as usual! I was wondering, my mom is pretty toxic. I can’t cut her out completely. Is a cord cutting after a visit with her a good idea? Or and a protective amulet when I visit her? Thoughts or advice? 💜💫
I'm so sorry to hear that. I wouldn't do a traditional candle spell cord cutting because that would cut her out of your life. A protection amulet would be great! Pair that with some sort of cleansing routine when you get home after being around your mom. You can take a ritual bath, smoke cleanse yourself, etc. Hope that helps!
