How to Troubleshoot: Epson ET-2720 not matching the actual colors of your photo, ink issues.

I was having issues printing photos, documents or pictures with the right colors.
I resolved the issue by going through the Power Cleaning solution.
Instructions.
Press and hold both the power and information button at the same time.
Once you see the instructions, proceed.
Wait 7 minutes.
Caution, make sure you have ink as it will deplete a bit.
Voila, now your issue has been resolved. You can use the printer right away, no need to wait for the time I mentioned in the video.

THANK YOU so much for this video, Gus. My biggest piece of advice to somebody about to embark on this: make sure your black tank is about 50% full because after the power cleaning is complete, it will deplete at least half of what you have in there. Also: I waited not 12, but a full 24 hours before printing again and I swear to God, my Epson ET-2720 printer started printing just as well as it was when I bough it two years ago.

THANK YOU! We had another printer already delivered but the box wasn't opened. I decided to try one last time to trouble shoot the printer. The ink wells were full, but nothing was coming out except for black and even that was spotty. I am so glad to have found your video! Your easy to follow instructions are spot on. I searched for help with my Epson for color issues for my photos and your video came up from the internet as an options with other sites to figure out my problem. Yours was the first on the list to go to your CZcams page. I was shocked since you are the one who recommended that I buy this printer. Just so you know the reason I was looking for a new printer at the time was because the other one was going through lots of ink. I would have to buy cartridges at least 3 times or more a year. I am at over a year and a half and still no need to get ink with my Epson. It will probably last until the 2 year mark at Christmas depending how much ink I use trying the process from this video to see how it works. Thank you!
Hi Dany, i noticed that Epson has this issue once in a blur moon. You start having ink issues if you go over a long period of time without printing or you dont print that often. Regular perhaps once every quarter you need to do nosle cleaning on the printer. Thanks for watching.

You sir, are a life saver! I had tried Everything! Your power cleaning was the answer and made life perfect again!!! Only thing I would share…. It isn’t an instant fix, it even gives a message that it can take 12 hrs for the colors will adjust. I was getting scared and paranoid after my first 2 tries after power cleaning but sure enough I left it alone and hours later I made the most beautiful bottle openers! Thank you Greatly!

I held the power and question mark and it didn’t change anything or turn off. I turned off the printer, pressed power and the question mark and in less than 5 seconds it came up. Once it did power clean I checked the nozzles and sure enough it worked! Thank you!!

Thank you Gus! You saved me! This worked and the pictures I needed to print for my daughter's wedding look great! I waited 24 hours to print because that's what the screen said (note sure why this is necessary). And it did use a lot of ink (again, not sure why that is so--where does that ink go???).
Thats great news, glad it worked out. The ink goes to a compartment that houses a sponge, that sponge will need to be replaced eventually, but not any time soon.

Nice.. wouldn't have guessed how to do the power cleaning.. a simple flight itinerary is printing pink instead of black.. hopefully this solves this cause I don't see any options to direct what colors go where In this model printer. In the future I suggest anyone interested in buying one of these epsons go with one with a bigger display screen also buttons that light up. Splurge on those features. You will be glad you did.. update. Yes. This power cleaning solved it.. great

I have had problems with this printer from day 1. The company walked me through power cleaning and it fixed problem of printing with empty lines for a little while but now it does it if you don't use the printer every few days. Will try the power clean again but need to buy black ink since it uses so much. Maybe will try some generic brand ink.
