That last little red fish you caught with the big eye is called aweoweo here in Hawaii. It’s also known as the Hawaiian big eye or soldier fish. 🤙🏽

The ooglie from around 11:00 minutes is one of the Priacanthus sp. Probably Priacanthus hamrur (aka Lunartail Bigeye). Cool fish. Super spiky.

The fish you weren't sure of try looking up nannygai or bright redfish. We call nannygai different to what Queensland's out on the gbr would in Victoria.

Just be careful of the weather. Have a good look at the forecast before heading offshore. If you have nice calm days like in this video its very safe. Good luck
