I put on my moisturizer first. I don't think there's many sunscreens out there that can also double up as your reliable moisturizer?
@ninanim unfortunately this one, I cannot tolerate it on my eyelids. But elsewhere around the eyes I can tolerate it. (So I end up not putting sun protection on my eyelids 😅 not exemplary behaviour I know)

La roche posay isn’t a Asian sunscreen, but it’s amazing in formulation and protection. It’s technically the best sunscreens, but they are a bit pricey depending on what you can afford. But if you can, I suggest them

Asian sunscreens are really good bu I highly suggest Australian. It’s the best, the system to check and prepping everything are really full proof. I would love japanese skin care but they change their formulas Alot xD idkw but there’re alot more skincare that I prefer before the change 😭😭
Yes. Australian sunscreen are actually spf50. When other brands are imported to Australia the spf of the sunscreen will be different from other countries. Because a korean sunscreen may be spf 50 at korea or other countries but when coming to Australia. It may just be spf 30.

I use the supergoop glow stick sunscreen, I like it and it’s transparent so no white cast and it makes my skin look glows, it’s a bit on the pricey side tho
you need to try indian sunscreens too. i’m one or two shade darker than you but there are so many indian sunscreen thats just like moisturiser and just blends so easily. aqualogica, derma co, dr. sheth’s, minimalist, dot&key are few are indian cult favourite. i personally love dr. sheth’s and aqualogica

I used to live in Singapore and I could not tolerate the chemical ones because of my rosacea 😢 high alcohol content can set it off or otherwise the ever changing formulas.
Biore uses denatured alcohol to penetrate the skin so you might notice some sensitivity. It helps with hyperpigmentation but my skin felt dehydrated after a day of use so pair a hydrating lotion for better results.

I'm trying that one too!! I've been using it singe January and I love it! It leaves no white cast and is very moisturizing with a glowy finish. I use the tocobo cotton stick to reapply throughout the day and on the go but I LOVE to use the bio watery sunscreen in the morning after my skincare routine!
this sunscreen isnt really the best option especially if you have dry skin due to the high concentration of denatured alcohol in it which is extremely drying and sensitizing especially if you have dry skin. its the second ingredient on the list!
I brought Biore sunscreen in 2020 when no one was talking about it. It wasn't the time when people really talked about sunscreen on the internet that much, the skincare boom came into my country right after that phase. There was only 1 review of this and i gave it a shot. I think yes it's a good one but there are so much better options available now. After a particular amount of time like a month or so, the formula separates and the oil leaves the cream part (idk how to explain it). Basically, not worth the hype that much if u have oily acne prone skin. Please stay away from it because the fragrance and unstable formula is going to break u out

Asian sunscreens are far less oily on the skin, but if you need protection go for an Australian suncreen. They have wider coverage cause Australia and New Zealand are right next to the hole in the ozone. My proudest moment living in NZ so far was having the woman ringing me up say that my daily sunscreen choice looked "like it actually could be good." I bought the store brand.
I swear Beauty of Joseon's Relief Sun SPF with Probiotics. It's so lightweight and hydrating I just use it as my daycream, too, if I'm just staying home. I've been using it for more than a year and it worked really well in the summer, too. I absolutely love it.
If you're interested in korean brands of sunscreen, I'd definitely recommend Beauty of Joseon and RoundLab (those two are the best ranked sunscreen last year)
That's a chemical spf, they are no supposed to leave a cast on any skintone. But any chemical spf and they will look the same. When it come to chemical just focuse on the texture, finish and ingredients (if it has to many irritants or good calming/hydtariong ingredients you might like)
As an Asian myself, the best sun creams for me are never these cheap Asain drugstore brands, but always the expensive Western brands who make their sun cream in Asia and sold in Asia only. For example, Lancome UV EXPERT AQUA GEL, I never found them in Europe

I absolutely love Japanese sunscreens because most of them are sweat and water resistant, come in larger sizes and very affordable especially if you buy them on Stylevana.
This sunscreen was my starter sunscreen!! As someone who is oily and acne prone, this worked wonders! My skin’s not that sensitive so the alcohol didn’t bother me - no eye irritation either.
They contain high amounts of alcohol denat. Over time that could dry you out. Especially if you use actives. Like the kind of dry that produces flakes. Not only that they lie about how much spf is in it.
true I've tried alot of sunscreens and the ones I got from Korea and Japan burnt my skin. I now stick too my Aussie made sunscreen as I know it works for me and the climate I'm in.
The biore one has a high alcohol content. I dont love it as it dries my skin out in the long run, but there are soooo many amazing sunscreens on yesstyle. A few brands to try: Beauty of Joseon, Klairs (white/yellow one), Tocobo, Isntree, Skin1004, Thank you farmer (essence) and Canmake (clear).

My fav sunscreen i like it. cuz it has no whitecast and so watery it beneficial for me as an oily skin person ✨
They contain high amounts of alcohol denat. Over time that could dry you out. Especially if you use actives. Like the kind of dry that produces flakes. Not only that they lie about how much spf is in it.
true I've tried alot of sunscreens and the ones I got from Korea and Japan burnt my skin.
I now stick too my Aussie made sunscreen as I know it works for me and the climate I'm in.

The biore one has a high alcohol content. I dont love it as it dries my skin out in the long run, but there are soooo many amazing sunscreens on yesstyle. A few brands to try: Beauty of Joseon, Klairs (white/yellow one), Tocobo, Isntree, Skin1004, Thank you farmer (essence) and Canmake (clear).
My favorite one is Isehan Essence solaire Sunkiller! ❤
