    I have the 4.5M Dlab unit and have been riding with it for the past month in San Francisco Bay. The low end power and the stiffness are the best features of this wing. Pumping is very efficient.

      Yes, it’s a very successful design and material integration. They really made a good one. Good stuff you have there. The Aluula was the start, now there will be a flood of new material and higher prices…🥲😂

      Hi, perhaps you can share some details on your foil size and low end wind that this 4.5 size can go. I am my self looking at this one as wave/downwind one starting with 15-16kts. Thank you.

      F-One is great though personally I don’t like the soft handles. Look at my latest video about the Vayu and the handles on the Aura. Amazing. My bet is that most brand will transition to rigid handles. What do you think?

    • @flyingfootage
      @flyingfootage Před rokem +1

      @@wingfoil_mallorca I think you’re right ,the handle on the F-one is to soft, there is only one hand position on the handle. besides that F-one is a good wing.

    Hi Fredric,
    thank you for your inspiring clips! I will come to Mallorca on Sunday for 2 weeks with my familiy, and because of your vids I will bring my kit with me! I will have a rental car, and be bases in Son Serra de Marina, but I only know the spots Can Pastilla and Es Bacares from your Videos. Which wind directions works with which spot? And where do I find other Wingfoilers? Is there some Facebook Group or anything to get in touch with loacal Foilers? I don't like going out alone...

      Hey Matthias, haha, good to hear I have made some advertisement for wing foil in Mallorca ;-) Yes, good riding around here. You are staying quite far away in Mallorca. But the Island isn't that big, you can easily drive anywhere in max an hour. If you have your own stuff I guess yo have a good level? Bay of Pollenca and Barcares works great with NE winds. Also Alcanada is really great with it's big swell when the wind is NE and strong. Bay of Alcudia , outside Alcudia is great with E and the rest of the bay all the way to Son Serra again with NE wind. Can Pastilla is best when the wind is from S or SE but also W works but its a bit gusty. You have many more spots of course, but these are a few. Let me know ahead when you are going out and i will advice you of good spots to ride in. And maybe we can see each other next week!! 😃

    Hi Fredric, let me ask you, would you prefer a second hand 2022 Unit D-Lab 6m or a new 2022 Unit 6,5m ?
    I'm riding since one year ago, with strong sailing background and jibing ok.
    thanks so much !

    Maybe...but Dlab Duotone kites are definitely not worth (like dlab surboard...they break easily)...very fragile, loose shape after 10 times use in strong wind (SHAME) and very difficult to repair...

    I do not quite understand the designers / manufacturers who make the handles so short especially when there only two handles.. 🤔😒..

    • @wingfoil_mallorca
      @wingfoil_mallorca  Před rokem

      Yes, on this one it is very obvious they are on the short side. Look at the new North Mode. They got the handles figured out right!

      @@wingfoil_mallorca 1. Cost effective Buying the most expensive wings without having the understanding of the benefits is useless especially when a beginner will crash the wing the most as a beginner. Also this is a high aspect wings, more difficult for beginners I will choose to Laura aspect wing

    • @wingfoil_mallorca
      @wingfoil_mallorca  Před rokem

      Hey man. Good points, also an effective wing could help a beginner get some extra power to compensate for lack of technique. I will let some more beginners have a go and document how they handle it. In my personal journey to learn I had a very strong Ensis 6M V1. Was great, but on the strong side. My second wing was a Starboard Free-wing 6.0 V1 and that one was on the big side. Third wing was a 5.2 Ensis V2, and with that smaller wing my level immediately started to increase. Powerful and more manageable. Here in Mallorca we have most days with 10-13 knots. So we are not so fortunate like other places with really great winds. Where do you ride?
