Twin Girls Bedroom Makeover Part 2: painting the accent wall

Welcome back to part 2 of my DIY adventure in giving my twins' bedroom a fabulous makeover! In case you missed it, in part 1, I went through the exciting process of choosing the perfect paint color (swatch number 2, yippee!). Now, I had this brilliant idea to invite all the kids to help with the painting extravaganza. Who needs a DIY expert when you've got me, right?
Before we could start splashing paint on the walls, we had to tape all those sneaky corners for that flawless finish. Let me tell you, the kids were beyond thrilled to get their little hands dirty. And boy, did we have a blast! We painted the accent wall with so much joy, and my little Sebastian even got creative with some adorable hearts and smiley faces. But, of course, I had to paint over those masterpieces because, well, we were aiming for a more polished look. So, I ended up applying multiple coats of color while the twins were taking their well-deserved nap in another room.
After what felt like an eternity, I finally finished painting everything. And let me just say, it turned out pretty darn cute! I couldn't wait to show off my hard work, so I sent a picture to my husband. And guess what? He actually complimented me! He said, "For someone doing it for the first time, it looks amazing." Well, I'll take that as a huge win!
Now, before we move on to part 3, where I tackle the emotional task of assembling big girls beds for my twins instead of their trusty cribs, let's take a quick break. Phew!
