I want to advice many Christians. Have priorities. It's important to dig deeper into the Bible and all it's beauty. But ALWAYS reflect and dig deeper into loving His people.
Just an honest question, if a person was not able to grasp or understands these grammatical observations, can we say to that person that preaching is not his calling? or even not able to exposit the verses, can we conclude then that he is not for preaching ministry?
Hi there, my name is Ramon, to answer your question about the grammatical issue I think it would be life changing if that person were to learn and understand grammar. It's not an easy topic but the more you know the better and for the question about the expository preaching I think if that person isn't able to do expository preaching. Then either one he doesn't have a call to preach, or two he just needs to understand how to do better sermons.
I personally know a preacher, who preaches expository, and isn’t a master at grammar. You can preach verse by verse, do a couple word studies, look into the Greek, read commentaries, as well as understanding the culture, etc. I believe if you are called to preach, you will preach. As you start out you will be rusty, but you will have a desire to learn and grow, read and study, and you will get better at bringing out the text.
So grateful to find this video
