As someone lived in Japan for 3 years. Japan is really beautiful. The pictures and videos does no justice. It's clean and beautiful. I barely had any bad experiences in Japan. I visited a lot places in Japan. I miss that country 😔

Ive been to mont saint michel twice and seen both types of scenery. Depending on the tide and time of year it really does change how the exterior plains look but the gothic architecture is always breathtaking
mont saint michel is legit, i went there in 2018. the lucious grass in the social media version is kinda exaggerated, as that area is flooded most of the time. the place is besutful, it looks and feels like your walking through a real life diagon alley.
same i went there around 2018 too but my most recent visit was in 2022. It’s not really how it used to be, it’s a lot more expensive now and different then before.

As someone who went to mont saint michel last year, it was all worth it. The reason why it looks gray and ‘boring’ in ‘reality’ is bc social media photoshops the shit out of it. Yes, it was super busy, but so is like every single big city that everyone loves. It looked super mystical and just straight out of a disney movie (fun fact: this town was actually used as base for the kingdom is tangled). There’s also like only a few tens of civilians and it’s just monks and nuns that you can see walking around the town. Also very cute tiny shops that literally just look per day when they’ll close. Very underrated town, highly recommended, super beautiful and old (it even still has a lot of intact builds from medieval times, like a drawbridge at the port). Ps: even just walk towards it and just seeing the beauty come closer and closer to you is such an experience

I was once at Mont Saint with my mother, brother, and grandmother And im telling you, its much more beautiful than you see even in such weather I dont care if its crowded cause it still was a beautiful view, and i even found an almost shaped like a sea conch shell. I kept it and it still remains as a memory i will remember

Also April is the new year in Japan for many companies and schools instead of January (although of course there are proper celebrations for January.) Japanese people generally have a negative opinion of foreigners (although that is beginning to change) because tourists are usually obnoxiously loud and rude and ignorant of Japanese manners. In fact, the place where you see people running on the part of the video where you see Mount Saint Michel, is a salt plain (a prairie) where sheep come to graze! And it's not close to Mont Saint Michel, it's a view in perspective! But the meadow really exists and it's beautiful with a wonderful view of the Mont Saint Michel.
I have been to mont saint michel and it is literally a castle on an island surrounded by quicksand that you can pay like $40 to take a 4 hour tour through rivers, quicksand, etc… really fun
There’s a similar castle in the uk called ‘saint michael’s mount’. It’s on the Cornish coast and is essentially the English counterpart. Both beautiful places
where I live, northern lights are common in the winter, however tourists ALWAYS come here in the summer asking where the lights are. Every single year, without fail.
For the Mont Saint Michel, You should go to the fields a bit on the east, at the morning and if possible when the tide is high, outside of the touristic season… here it reveals its beauty
I grew up next to the Mont Saint Michel. You have to pick the right time of year, time of day, and weather to go there. If you get a local guide and leave very early in the morning, you can walk there accross the sandy bay, and it is one of the most beautiful and serene experiences ever. If you go in July at 2pm with the shuttle, you will be disappointed because you will drown in the crowd, overheat and see nothing. Educate yourself. (Also don't buy anything there, it's not worth the money they charge)
