      It's not just about watts. VS series is based on the design that should be avoided in current Gen systems. Minimum PSU these days should be the one that's based on DC-DC design for proper voltage regulation and ripple performance and you can get such PSUs even in 80 Plus Bronze rating. PSUs like Corsair CV650 and above (not 550 variant), XPG Pylon, DeepCool PKD series and Silverstone Viva series are all based on newer designs in low budget segment. I have discussed this topic in great detail in my Silverstone Viva PSU review video.

    Cos there's really no info on this stuff either.

    • @GuyThatDoesEverything
      @GuyThatDoesEverything  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Voltage stabilizers aren't really necessary for most of the electronic equipment these days because devices like PC PSUs (80 Plus) already have voltage boost circuit inside which acts kinda like voltage stabilizer itself. The only protection it provides is with excessive voltages (>270V AC) so buy it only if you have such excessive voltage problems in your area, otherwise it's not gona do anything. May be I will cover this topic in the video in near future. Thanks!

    Got mine from daraz. One of the chip gets extremely hot and once fully discharged it won't charge the batteries with router still connected to it. You have to unplug it from the router to charge the batteries again. It does charge the batteries and power the router at the same time. Man, how exited i was to get this module but this is just a big disappointment

    • @GuyThatDoesEverything
      @GuyThatDoesEverything  Před měsícem

      Charging IC getting hot is normal and your issue is most likely with your cells that seem to drop down voltage too low when fully discharged. Try replacing those cells and get tested cells from some laptop battery repair guys. I along with my other friends have been using the exact same mini UPS for months without any issues.

      Expensive multimeters have better safety regulations and insanely long term support and production of their models.
      When it comes to the actual use-case, low-cost multimeters perform on par and surprisingly very similar even to the least significant digits compared to the expensive ones. E.g Aneng 8009 which I bought for mere Rs2500 performs identical to its quite expensive counterpart Fluke. But when I am doing some precision measurements, I have to double check with another Aneng's multimeter in case the previous one had any drift over time 😅
