The Minoritized Arab/MENA Experience in the U.S. with Germine G. Awad, PhD

Arab, Middle Eastern, and North African Americans have experiences that range from invisibility due to the lack of recognition as a minoritized ethnic group and hypervisibility due to negative media portrayals and discrimination. This talk will discuss the Arab/MENA fight for recognition as a minoritized group on the federal level and research examining how identity, acculturation, and discrimination experiences relate to mental health for Arab/MENA Americans.
