    I love this video. Nice work. So simple and straight forward.

    Note to Navien: At 6 min plus on the video, the speaker advises that the air intake filter should be checked regularly. The part is secured with a screw! For a part that should be checked frequently. even annually, this is a design flaw. It should be secured in a manner that is removable without tools!

      Not really.

      I Think some models have a pin, which makes it easier

    forgot to say ,Fill the condensate trap inside the water heater by pouring water water through the exhaust vent on top of the water heater
    until water flows through the condensate drain. page 31 in manual

      What would happen if I didn't pour water into exhaust vent? I just DIY installed 240A and didn't add water through the vent, noticed few drop of water leak from the condensate outlet , very odd for non pressure line.

      The water you add seals and prim the drain line ,if you don't,it might blow some exhaust gas out from drain untill eventually it primes itself

    Should there be a a check valve installed at the cold water intake?

    Could someone explain the external recirculation? And where does the condensation line drain to?

    • @kenpeters5488
      @kenpeters5488 Před 4 lety

      Condensate should be pipes to a neutralizer condensate pump then into a drain. And the external recirculation is for a fixture that's more than 50 to 70 ft away

      There are two models A with recalculation and S without, recirculation unit is able to recirculate hot water so when you open hot water will come right away it uses about 2 gas therms a month to do so, but you need another hot water line for it to work. S model you have to wait for cold water to drain from pipe first. Condensation occurs when the heat is taken from exhaust gases and has to be disposed of, it is a bit acidic so a filter is used so your pipes won't corrode.

    газовики заибали ,требуют чтобы я в котельный зделал дырку для винтеляции и чтобы труба это была выше крыши а там у меня мансарда высокая к чему крепить трубу не знаю да и у этого котла предусмотрено вентиляция... да ещё у меня ФОРТОЧКА есть

    You failed to mention of this unit is hardwired in or plugs up to an outlet.

    Absolute garbage product. Go watch Mikey Pipes on CZcams. There is a design defect on the water tube heat exchanger which causes exhaust gases to leak
