My best trades are moving avg crossovers, has been for nine years. Your right though, let price pull back after the crossover and get in the trade at that point. I have rules, 5 things need to happen before I'll get in a trade.
I recently back tested the moving average crossovers and here's what I found. Yes, if you just blindly trade them alone then they are bad. However, I found that they work very well when combined with the following...
1.Double bottoms or double tops.
2. A break of structure (new highs or new lows)
3. Momentum candle sticks and Pin bars.
The key is to look left. If you get any of the above followed by a moving average crossover, this is Gold. The price always continues in that direction.

That makes total sense and clears a lot for me! I was using the EMA9/21 but everytime it crossed, it would pull back a little and I would get stopped out. Eventually I just started trading based on what I saw in the candles but would go back and forth resulting in a losing streak last week. I got green today when I switched over to the SMA9 confirmation looking for the first candle that would open above it and did much better. Thank you for this video! Clears up a lot.

It depends on what moving averages are used.
There's one moving average that tells you WAY BEFORE on every time frame where the enter like a sniper with a minimum drawdown. That moving average is to me the most powerful moving average.

Love it. Thank you. I came across a video where a trader talks about moving average Strat. The strat is: 3 simple MA's(13, 21, 55) and finally the exponential MA (8). The idea is to buy low in an uptrend when the 55 SMA is below all MA's and Sell in a downtrend when the 55 SMA is all the way at the top. Your thoughts on this please? Perhaps a video on this too would be highly appreciated. Thanks a million for the knowledge you share.

Moving Averages work better in a trending market, the example you used was price consolidating in what I would call a horizontal channel. You are also using higher MA's on a shorter time period meaning by the time they cross the price could retrace back!

I have been experimenting with the Super Trend and the Half Trend indicators, much more responsive and less lag than moving averages. A combination of both referencing multiple time frames for trend direction confirmation has been showing me a lot of potential.

Crossover is not bad per se. Just need to find the right way to use it. My strategy is based on crossovers but filtered by additional indicators. And thanks to Arty I found smoothed MA's. They work as a charm.

My demo account was well balanced at 380K. I opened several orders bringing me to an additional 13K within minutes...now I'm up 13K, so I'm thinking let me take a nap for an hour or so. The nap/rest did me justice until I seen my account drawn down -110K... where in the world does this happen?🤬🤬🤬 Hell it's Monday morning the first day of business and this the shit the market pulls...or is it really the market??? Depends on a number of factors but the most important is your risk management. Trade only 1% of your account and shoot for 1:1.5 or 1:2 RR

I love your videos, I just set up a demo account on mt4 to try it out. But I noticed when I use Tradingview to look for my entry that there is a difference in the decimals on tradingview vs mt4. Is that normal? It's just the very last decimal that's off by like 6-8...
Yes it is normal
People look at the past but fail to realise when you're trading live you dont see anything. Crossover has no real logic, you never actually see the crossover until it has crossed over so you end up trading late and 8/10 your S/L gets hit and you lose money. Follow momentum, RSI, volume, trendlines and use MAs properly. And always always identify support and resistance
maybe try using correct moving averages!
