Haven't watched your updates the past 10 days...we are completing our 12 days Princess Cruise Tour to Alaska...My family of 8 want you to know that the personnel at the Denali Lodges went "above and beyond" their call if duty..though the flames were near we never felt in danger...Kudos to all

After updating the Princess app I was able to make my Main Dining room reservations after some trial and errors. If I clicked on the box that said to apply to all days of the cruise, it would say not available. So I tried it for one day only at a time and it worked. I did the same entry for each day and now I have the Main Dining Room reserved for the time we wanted.
We did an Alaska cruise tour in June. We were never able to make dining reservations in the app. When we checked on our medallions we discovered they were scheduled to be shipped to an address in Florida. We live in Maryland. Once we were on the ship the app worked fine
Allison Happy 4th. Lubec, Maine is the easternmost point of the continental U.S. Stayed there. Cute town not far from Eastport. Not a whole lot to do in either place. We would suggest going to Campobello Island. FDR's home was fascinating. You can schedule tea with Eleanor. Informative and fun.
Hi Allison, one of your wonderful Let’s Go Family members told me that they were able to book their dining by going to where it asks you to book day by day. I tried that and it worked. Even though it only allowed me to book the dining room on level 5 in the Piazza. At least I was able to book a table for 2. It gave me no other choices. Just for information

Luckily our cruise is in August so not impacted by the dining app. I have called Princess when we haven't been able to get a reservation for specialty dining.

Hi, We are headed to Alaska on the Crown Princess, leaving out of San Francisco, on Tuesday. Thanks for the heads up about the medallion orders. Our app is still asking us to order the medallion even though we have email confirmation that our medallions will be waiting for us at check-in.
Just FYI. I am Platinum and my cruise is paid in full and I have the latest version of the app, and I still have trouble trying to book dining for my September 25 cruise. I often don't book dining, so it isn't too bad. I will probably do a specialty dining experience, but I wait until I am on board so my on board credit will pay for it.
Beautiful day in Geiranger, Norway. We were lucky day before was horrible weather according to our tour guide. Also lucked out that the Sky Princess was able to use the floating pier so we didn't have to tender.

I'm sorry for the passengers who aren't going to get to go by train to Fairbanks. Don't despare- watch the railway- it's almost all visible from the road. What a beautiful trip you're going to have. Maybe on the extra day you can do the reindeer farm Running Reindeer Ranch. We didn't have time, so I'll be very jealous 😊

Check out shore excursions Holland America offers at Eastport Maine - Can't imagine Princess wouldn't offer similar ones - we are looking at Campobello Island shore excursion.
tried to post a link to those twice but can't. Most say that is the best excursion depending on timing.

I got my dining reservation done today by going onshore 😊 using my phone connection I couldn’t do it onboard the Royal Princess .
Did they say what caused the fire? I just back 3 weeks ago from Denali Lodge, Fairbanks and that amazing 9hr train ride from Whittier to Denali. I too would have been upset if my land portion was cancelled.
I just got back 3 weeks ago with my family and friends from Alaska cruise w Denali land portion. I was fortunate to be able to do the 9hr amazing beautiful scenery train from Whittier to Denali and then on to Fairbanks. Do they know what caused the fire?? I feel bad those that have to cancel the Denali land portion.

I have a reservation in Feb of 2025 on Sun Princess and called them today about a table for 10 for traditional dining. They took all the booking numbers and then was shocked she could not get the table…she finally came back and told me to call back when we are 180 days out and then we would be able to do it…Hopefully that will work then…you have someone on your face book who keeps saying that is the buffet…it is not…oh well love hearing your updates.
I think the confusion is that in some of Princess ships the buffet area is called The Horizon Buffet. But Sun Princess now named the buffet area The Eatery & made the MDR Horizon…. I am kinda puzzled myself why Princess named the MDR Horizon. It is sure to confuse people who has been sailing on its older ships. It’s not as if there are no other name that they can use.
Thank you…I hope Princess gets back to the way it used to be …my travel agent would get the table for my group but now it is on the customer to do everything through an app that needs help..I still love Princess and when I speak to an agent on the phone they are so pleasant…They really do try to help…
I will suggest you keep trying as I was able to secure the dining for 13 of us going together, took several times trying. First I had book a table for 10 in error but then went back cancel it and started all over with a table for 6 and a table for 7 in the Botichelli Dining room and selected with a ✔️ for same time every night of the cruise. I have everyone who is cruising with me in my profile app this way I get everyone confirmed. Good luck. 😊
Too bad it looks like the very interesting Roosevelt summer "cottage" on Campobello isn't very accessible - too much water in the way.

Am I the only one that does not understand why a billion dollar corporation can not get their app/updates right? This is an ongoing issue and I just think this is unacceptable.come on! 2024?
