Consider including Good Pawn builds that compliment the Main character class.
Are you damage? Have a tank and a healer.
Are you a tank? Have damage and a healer.
Are you a healer? Get a tank and some damage.
Have a magic pawn with the ice spell that can leave chunks for you to pick up with spearhand's force throw skill and toss at enemies, hits small enemies like bowling pins and could help knock bigger monsters down
Go with 2-3 thieves and a mage for buffs. They'll shred everything into oblivion in seconds
Noted! Usually you want 1 Mage unless playing Warfarer for healing & celerity (although it's not exactly necessary).
Besides that I would really just go with 2x Thieves, especially with Plunder & Implicate to steal from enemies constantly!

You didn't emphasize enough how godly for exploration Dragoun's Foin is. It has the ability to launch you up otherwise unclimbable slopes. You can even jump and slide up some of those one-way mountain slopes, for example you can get up to Ancestral Chamber from Melve side.
Also I've hit ogres with charged Magike Speregonne's and dealt two full bars of damage instantly and often knocking them down, also a very underrated skill.

Out of combat it just flies me horizontally and thus i dont get the reach like when targetting harpies. Is there way to choose upward jump out of combat with this?
@@tlotpwist3417 You if you jump at an upwards slope and use the skill, it will launch you sliding up the hill.
Spearhand is fun, I played it up to Max but returned to Thief since he does so much more damage on climbable targets, which tend to be the more problematic ones.

You can get the Dead Ringer during the initial fight with the dragon in Melve. I got it just by popping one of the bubbles on the Dragon in the first fight. I didn't know that it will remain the best weapon throughout the game.
And the Ballista will take it down in 3 shots as well.
Yep, the Ballista can really help with that!
For a better weapon you pretty much have to go to postgame.
Just to note if anyone does this it will lock you out of a quest later.

I didn't kill the dragon during the attack on Melve, but the dead ringer did drop for me. I had the thief vocation and unlocked the core skill that gives a chance to steal when I use carve.

Bro, depois que você termina o jogo pela primeira vez, o npc da dragon forge vende um buff que deixa 1 skill da sua escolha custando metade da stamina. Da pra usar em todas as classes, é muito forte!

I use it until max vocation but had to switch back to thief since it kinda slow for me😅

You can get the dead ringer much earlier when the dragon attacks melve. I think you have to hit him with the ballista.
it takes 2-3 shots but yes you can kill it in Melve
Yep, this also nets you the Meister Skill super early!
They change it in update u can’t get it anymore if u do one quest u mast do all of them I just did one buy one and I did not get him after I did a last one mission I gut dragon 2 spawn in the end
You are totally sleeping on Swift Charge. It's the best boss paralyzer in the game. Keeps Griffins from flying away, keeps enraged enemies from destroying your team, makes it easy to jump on backs, heads, etc. I much prefer it to Skiedragoun's Fangtooth. The Mystic Spearhand already has enough damage skills.
That's indeed a great use, as charging it to the max during battle isn't really viable by normal means.
Magike Speregonne is good for enemies weak to magic. At least thats how i use it

Yep, by killing the Dragon at Melve (usually with Ballista) you can cheese it early!
How do you report I know what it says in the description but o can’t make it happen to save my life is there a trick to it
Do you mean Teleport?
You need the Rank 2 Core Skill called Quik Fot.
Then press A or X on the Controller right after your Bolt ability hits the enemy.
Forgot to mention how DEVASTATING the triangle attack is when mounting an enemy and lining it up against a weakspot or specially when mounting a downed enemy and doing it at their weakspot.
You can no cap take out a bar and a half from any boss if they are downed with just that single attack, and people keep saying Mystic Spearhand lacks damage.
Skill issue I say.
It's so strong that I "accidentally" killed a griffin that showed up during an Oxcart raid. I was fighting the other enemies that attacked me, and the Griffin just kept getting hit as collateral damage, but whenever it fell over I'd go and do a triangle attack on it. It died before I even killed the raiding enemies!
the bolt STOPS your stamina from going up while charging. so you cant use it over and over and over.
Why you use the stamina steal skill 😮😮 infinite stamina
That's what the Stamina steal skill is for indeed!
Plus the usual combo is Bolt + Heavy Attack, which does not cost Stamina.
I like the dragon with harpon but did not get a master super
I believe talking with Sigurd afterward should get you that, or just increase his affinity with a gift, then talk again.

I love the aesthetic of spearhand, but idk, I just can’t vibe with the feel and rotation of spearhand. Anytime I play it I feel myself craving any other melee class
For people who usually don't read item descriptions, if you play as a magick archer, give Medusa's weapon a try. It increases by a lot the experience gained.
Medusa's bow is for the Archer vocation, not magick archer. so only an archer or warfarer can use it
@@mari-anne Yeah, the name "Medusa's Spellbow" got me confused. Thanks for pointing it out!
Also YOU have to be the one that gets the killing shot with the Medusa bow to get the increased XP. There are better bows out there anyways. Plus it weighs a ton unless you drsgonforge it

I believe it's for Archers only, but the XP increase is quite good!

Got my pawn running thief while I run Warfarer with sorcerers flare and mystic archers frost arrow, and, yeah.
Kinda wished enemies scaled up in NG+
That is true, thankfully Mystic Spearhand is quite good as well, not AS busted as Thief for sure.
it's a really easy game, i don't see the need to take all the strongest skills. if you take the shield and the maister skill you can take any other skills you want to have fun. unto heaven is hilarious and if you run multi mage with frigor you can just toss ice blocks and yeet enemies off cliffs. never gets old. spearhand is by far the most fun class to play, but i just don't see the point in removing a ton of that fun to optimize damage in a game that does not require any degree of optimization to breeze through.
You're right, Dragon's Dogma was never about difficulty, so minmaxing makes absolutely no sense, it's already a very easy game.
I don't think anybody is saying the game is difficult because I think anyone who plays it knows it's not. But some people enjoy getting their characters as powerful as they can. Some people like to wipe out bosses in seconds. That's fun to them. People play games differently and people enjoy games in different ways so I don't see a problem with people playing either way. I'm sure those people are having just as much fun as you or i.
Theive is better my opinion. Fighting wise.
thief is climb and mash the same button over and over again. it's great dps but boy it does get boring after a couple of hours. mystic spearhand is actually versatile and fun to play
I think Thief is overall better indeed for damage, but I do love Mystic Spearhand's party invulnerability!
