I wouldnt mind doing all of this but 10k in my turbo setup I'm still stock engine on my 14 2SS 1le making around 650whp. 12 psi on a 78mm. I'll eventually cam it and do a downpipe cutout and run 17 psi and be around 800.

I turbo it around 75k miles and I'm at 88k miles now and only took it apart once due to burning my engine harness in a few spots. Bottom end will have no issues but I know my valvetrain isn't happy but I beat on the car daily from work to home, clutch I avoid any launches as I still haven't dropped my tilton engineering clutch in. But I haven't had any slippage from the stock clutch either. These are just my experiences though. I know the car would prefer to have a built head and clutch.
My 2010 Camaro has a GPI SS4 cam with zero issues. LS3 is getting pulled as we speak for a Thompson 427 with turbo cam. Going with twin AGP 65mm turbos.

Also beware that "stages" differ from each camshaft brand. I'm not too sure what's the ideal duration and lift for a street ls but don't get too agressive with it.

I'm building a high compression ls3 got set of dss 6 cc dome pistons stock rods and crank just balanced with BTR stage 3 n/a cam should be about 12 to 1 compression should be at least 500 to the wheels

@@joem1382 I'm just guessing on what is going to make it's not even back from the machine shop my ls3 dropped a valve seat so I had to put a set of pistons in it so I did something not much people do hell who knows it could make more then what I think

i like it but some things you got wrong the stock ls3 can handle up to 700 stock bottom end and stage 4 is not that much different from stage 3 cam very drivable i daily and go on long distant trips almost 8 hours in my stage 4 while putting down 740 rwhp
Almost 90k in with labor and just hit 700wheel so 900hp. Top end and built trans boosted fuel system plus converter and much more. L99 originally. Not possible without boost you missed that part.
Well he had one thing right for sure....it's expensive. You want 1000HP? go 427 and twin turbo or 2650 with a stage 4 cam and hi flow heads. That'll do it!
How expensive is this build 🤣 I saw one for the axle kit at like 7.9k my man I bet the block and forged internals are the same. Looking at just 16k for that also the transmission rebuild probably like another 5k the intake manifold is 1.1k cams and valve train is about 1.3k from Texas speed not to mention the labor on all this work we looking about 30k so far... my man you always making me wanna spend money on meh carz.

I’d rather buy an LQ9 with a 408 Stroker kit with 9.4-1 Compression with 60+ mm turbos honestly. Easier to build and less expensive in the long run while still reliable in power.
L99 with Intake, Exhaust, Shorty headers, Heads and Cam, Higher Stall, Springs, Tune, and Tire and you got nice N/A dig monster. Figure throw in a head upgrade since we doing a cam upgrade. Better to be safe than sorry

This is true! My cam is a stage 3 but it’s a 238/242 cam which is bigger than other brands of cams
