I saw this style for the first time yesterday. Just one guy but man! I dig it! I love woodland style regalia. Makes me want to get back into dancing again.
Got out of the pow wow scene for a while, just didn't feel right, not enough of us eastern ways represented I felt. No disrespect to my brothers out west, love seeing round bustle, northern trad, fancy dancers, but just didn't feel right on my part. It is nice seeing the woodland style coming out strong. I may start back to dancing.
The Woodland style almost died out. There were only a few dancers still dancing that style. Everyone wanted a bustle. Now it's coming back because of those who are now elders representing. Showing the younger generation who they are and how it's done. Keep dancing my friend. With all your heart.
