I agree with y9u christine gott, Bonnie Owens was unique and the most shy person I ever saw. We missed the Owens and the Haggads
Any hour is a good one for Bonnie
Me it’s 12:30 am here, the year 2023. If I want to hear traditional country, I come to CZcams. Can’t stand what they call country now
For the first time in my life, i have no need for a radio in my car 😢
somewhere between me and you (God)
who’s listening again this song during Covid-19 😥😥
I really love this lady. Her voice is just Pure Country.
Anita Carter and Bonnie Owens need more credit for their work!!!
never heard Anita or Bonnie solo on A Radio Station in my 74 years
Can you Imagine someone this beautiful fixing you breakfast and then singing a few songs for you, I would call that HEAVEN! RIP Bonnie.
Still listening to this lady in April 2022.
Beautiful song by a lovely Lady.
The Queen of West Coast Country....Mrs. Bakersfield Sound.
Bonnie Campbell singing an old Merle Haggard song that he let her record on on a solo album. The magic sound behind the Merle Haggard sound right here. My little Shannon was called home to be with our lord in Heaven. I miss her like the breath in my lungs. I love Shannon Marie. For Eternity. Your Denny.😭😥
One of my dads favorite songs .
A wonderful rendition! Bonnie Owens was a true country singer!
True Country Music, just beautiful!!!
He is now singing with Bonnie in Heaven, what a great singer and dear man.
Still sung well after lung surgery and who can top that. Bless him and his family. Country music will not be the same.
I love this song. I didn't realize it went back from 1967. This is a beautiful version.
A FINE RECORDING BY BONNIE OWENS, BORN BONNIE CAMPBELL, WHO SADLY PASSED AWAY IN 2006 AT AGE 76 AFTER A
LENGTHLY STRUGGLE WITH ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE.
(I AM 76 YEARS OLD AND KEEPING MY FINGERS CROSSED.)
I’m new to the music of Merle Haggard so I’m devouring everything I can plus reading what’s out there that I can get a hold of. A true genius, with a voice like no other. Bonnie gave him stability and confidence to grow as an artist and was always his best friend, forgiving him always. I can see how her voice found a place in his heart, totally unique.
One of the best of all times miss her
Bonnie Owens is just the best country singer. I heard Merle say that without Bonnie he might not be singing today. She was great. May they both RIP and I still can enjoy the music. Thank you Bonnie for this beautiful song. I know Merle wrote it and it is just wonderful. Thanks for brightening my day.
Shear brilliance
Lovely song by a lovely lady she was avery talented lady!!
A great cover by the wonderful Bonnie Owens. She has the voice of an angel. This is great classic country music my friends. You won't hear any like it coming out of Nashville these days ........
Kenneth Lingle h
Merle wrote the tune... crazy thing is he’s outdone by both Suzy Boggus and Bonnie. I’m quite sure that has never happened before. .. I never can get enough Merle
@@scotttracy2110 Buck and Susan did a duet with it.
@@scotttracy2110 He sang it better.

Bonnie was one of a kind beautiful lady and awesome voice
Bonnie Owens is an adorable singer. Her songs suggest that women are never considered quite good enough, and never stop trying to be appreciated.
She didn't even write it
BONNIE IS PURE COUNTRY....REMINDS ME OF "SKEETER"

LOVELY SONG...THANKS SO MUCH...

Beautiful voice....she should have been much more well know in her own right, but stood beside Merle Haggard for support of his career! Friends til her death! He loved her til the end even though they couldn't stay married.
So right
Merle sang it better.
Very Nice!!
Detta är toppen hon har en vacker röst
Great voice.
Merle H. was a damn fool to lose this woman, yet she stayed friends with him,
must have swallowed a lot of pride
Bonnie Owens loved Merle Haggard always
Sorry, but Charlie had nothing to do with it...
I agree. To let Bonnie go for what he got??? Bet he had to think about that mistake a lot. I hope so.
:) ♥ ♪♫ Suzy Bogguss sang this beautifully as well.
as in perfection :)
Not as good as Merle
Yes here
Still have this vinyl lp
Toppp...👍👍
Kösz,nagyon jó.
Check out the CZcams of Kathleen Burnett and Colin Ray. Just those two, a guitar, singin' in the kitchen. Outstanding!
I understand angel
Actually Bonnie was born in Blanchard Oklahoma about 20 miles south of OKC. The same town Jody Millers from.
you're right ..I will fix ty
@@mrblindfreddy9999 Forgive the reminder, but it is not yet changed 😏
@@nicifilteau1447 do it thanks have to edit all ty
only done 49 out of 104 my next project clean up and post the rest cheers DAve
@@mrblindfreddy9999 In this picture she looks just like my mother in law. Or my second mother in law, I should say. I had forgotten Merle Haggard wrote this masterpiece. He had 38 number one hits and wrote 34 of them and could sing like other artists better than they sounded themselves. lol. He was a true genius.
I liked Bonnie but didn't hear her much for some reason.
From what I read, Bonnie actually wrote this song.
She also co-wrote Today I Started Loving You Again. Merle had. I started loving you again today. And she just said turn that around.
The words tell.
May I ask where you got the recording session number and the time they booked the studio?
from the CD Box set and double check with a site called Praguefrank
🙃
Sounds a little like kitty then came Tammy Wynette
