I’m new to your channel and probably won’t tackle something this advanced anytime soon; but do you think you could make some sort of how to/tips and tricks version of these videos on how to make realistic canids/felines? It would be cool if I could attempt my own dogs one day. Since you make these multi part tutorials, I’m curious if you can make one that addresses the basic process and how one can take the base concept and turn it into different dogs such as their own pet. Because it’s hard to picture myself doing it but having video tutorials that go through the process sound like they’d be helpful to learn and practice the craft for advanced projects.
You're most welcome! It is a different technique than I have ever tried myself. I even bought new needles specifically to make this dog 😄😂I normally lay every patch of long fur in bit by bit and attach them one at a time (like with my fox tutorial). But this type of coat is very fluffy/puffy and so I wanted to try to capture that look. I basically layered the colors for the undercoat and topcoat of the dog and reverse felted the body. So the coat itself was fairly simple compared to putting the long fibers in bit by bit -- and I thought it was pretty fun! The final video (Part 4) shows the coat and it should be up by tomorrow. Part 3 is uploading now... but with my internet speed, it will probably be several hours (estimating 6-8 hours) before it's actually uploaded!😆 but sometimes it goes faster... so you never know...
