Was lucky enough to see The Martin Harley Band play in Newquay back in the early 2000's and 2007 (I Think) in some bar in the middle of nowhere on Dartmoor. He's a good bloke and very talented.
Terrific! I love both the Tom WAits' original and also Beth Hart/Joe Bonamassa's storming version, but Martin Harley's version is excellent, and very different. I suspect Tom himself would love it.
You were shit hot at tunes in the dunes last weekend - bought your live album with the Cello accompanying - and love it. I'm learning delta/slide blues myself, such good music mate, being seeing you again soon i recon. P.S - you should employ that dancer dude from tunes in the dunes...:)
Absolutely loved the show in Vancouver last night, even the drunk Haligonian who place a glass of whiskey on the stage for you, and then who attemped to badger me into inviting you and the entire bar back to my apartment for a jam session. Did I hear correctly you'll be back in the fall? Chocolate Jesus, I sure hope so.
Beautiful cover. I am a huge Tom Waits fan and I do believe that you made this song your own ,so much so, that it intensifies the original. Looking forward to seeing you at Winnipeg Folk Fest 2016! PS: Also, I think you triggered my first ever comment on CZcams.

Great version .
I love the irony that he's playing this song in a church. Not too long ago they'd burn him at the stake for this sacrilege. So good!!
