Discussion on Freud, neoliberalism, Afro-pessimism, the left, and queer theory with Prof Lee Edelman

These are some videos I recorded last week when Tufts English Professor Lee Edelman discussed his new book, Bad Education: Why Queer Theory Teaches Us Nothing. I would have liked to see more of an argument on different viewpoints but it was still an interesting discussion among “liberal academics,” even if a bit abstract and verbose.

Very intriguing and great back and forth cantor.
I mean this in no disrespect. However Lee Edelman has a form of speech that is reminiscent of Terrence Mkeena.

What a missed opportunity. The incredibly inarticulate interviewer utterly ruins this. Professor Edelman is extraordinarily articulate, and he must have been very very bored by this slack and supremely dull conversation. Just awful.

To be fair, there aren't a whole lot of people in the world who can hold their own with Edelman in discussions like this.
