Can someone explain to me what the joke was?? What do he meant by "geography joke"?

I like to think that it is an improv and the casts' laughs are genuine in the following couple of seconds.
They're so lucky that Dwight had an appointment with the horse doctor.

The simplicity of a bunch of office workers wanting to leave early is strangely wholesome, and I don’t know why.
It’s just something that everyone can relate to, wanting to leave work early, and is a really small bit of cooperation between everyone
It’s just so beautifully and simply _human,_ in a way that can be so hard to see nowadays, but just so perfectly fits into so many people’s lives
It’s a perfect little moment that could happen to anyone and that level of relatability is what makes it wholesome

They should have added two scenes:
1. Michael getting ready for bed and sees that it is sunset.
2. Michael arrives to office at 9 am next day and sees that it is sunrise.
Yeah but I'm sure Michael has clocks in his house too, so I have a feeling he probably realized the prank a while after getting home

That expression is generally an expression used for something which is only funny to people who experienced the specific situation and can not be explained to someone else in a way that it retains its humor. Michael interpreted it more literally as a joke about location, ergo his comment "Geography joke".

When you have some 7-10 people who are going in the same direction is very confusing for old people. They try to follow.
The 'fun part' was that one time she left after 30 min and she met the Director of the school who asked her what she is doing.
She came back shouting and yelling at us that we are crazy :)))
