Every time I hear Nikola say "don't turn on the light" it cracks me up because she sounds so sincere about not wanting to horrify Jon too much
It seems to me like that's what she wants Jon to think, but the Stranger represents the fear of the unknown, which means it may be in her best interest to keep an avatar of the Eye from seeing her.

if you're "here from tiktok" congrats, you found the magnus archives - an incredibly well-written horror podcast. Easy to find on yt, spotify, apple music, etc. this ep is well into the 3rd season. "oh it's not a movie???" "this should be a movie" no, shush, not everything needs to be a film or tv show, podcasts slap, maybe try them out.
sometimes the scariest things are those we cannot see, and this podcast loves to write with that energy.

You know. I hope I'm not the only one, but every time Jon is reading a statement I struggle to acknowledge it is still Jon reading the statement. It's still his voice, but my brain isnt making the connection. I just get so absorbed in the story that I cant acknowledge anything else that's unfolding. Talk about getting into character, holy shit this podcast is amazing!

My theory from this episode and what we know so far:

So, Orsinov now is this Nikola, who is a mannequin. She's probably also that mannequin that killed in the store at closing time and tried to take the skin out of the person she killed, and, she's also probably even the Megan in that factory in the forest, using human skin. In the Anglerfish episode, one of the victims is called Megan, so the minions of the Stranger have the skin of a Megan for them to use.

The fact that I came from tiktok, found out what it from on Instagram, started all the way at episode one to find what I’d been looking for 96 episodes later. This is my first podcast I’ve listened to and I have absolutely no regrets

I was driving home on a long car trip alone at night and this came on and I swear to god I almost swerved off the road. I got chills like crazy and I had to pull over and turn on all the lights. Good sound design and voice acting!

This was the episode that made me discover Magnus Archives because of well, that TikTok trend (though I saw it on CZcams as a short). Didn't realize it was this one until I saw that I had already liked this video and the realization hit me that I came back to this (didn't listen to the whole thing the first time, just that part, then went to listen to the first episode lol). Gosh, I love this series / podcast, so grateful I encountered it.

Okay, this is cool! I was born and raised in Washington, now live in Oregon and I drive past this on I5 all the time on my way to and from my old home. All of these stories have been so far away that I had to sort of imagine it more. However, I know my home state well this will be interesting!
