    4:05-4:32 An electron weighs about 10^-31 kg and has a charge of about 10^-19 C. The elictric field needed to counter Balance its gravitytational force ist therefore ob the Order of 10^-11 V/m. The elictric field present in Thunder Clouds is in the Order of 10^3 V/m so its nothing short of ridiculous to Claim that the mass difference of the ice particles due to electrons gained/lost is responsible for the Charge separation between bottom and top of the Cloud.

    It's a theory to explain class 8 students not the graduates. As loosing electron has very minimum effect on weight as e had a mass of 9.1x10-31kg which is in any way negligible to the atom

    i have a question ,if all ice particles are identical ,why one losing and one is ganing electrons and two types of charges develop?

    • @MakeMeScientific
      @MakeMeScientific  Před 3 měsíci

      Slight variations in properties
      One has slightly loosely bound electron another opposite

    you are the first one inthe world to say an atom that gains one electron is too heavy to float, saying as if electromagnetic force doesnt exist.

    A quick question. Why do the ice atoms bump into each other? Is that caused by heat or something else?

    • @voidlt
      @voidlt Před 11 měsíci +1

      air currents maybe

    • @MakeMeScientific
      @MakeMeScientific  Před 9 měsíci +1

      During a lightning strike, the rapid expansion of air around the lightning channel creates a shockwave. This shockwave travels outward from the lightning bolt, compressing and heating the surrounding air. This phenomenon is known as thunder.
      The rapid compression and heating of the air cause the air molecules to move very quickly and collide with each other. These collisions generate pressure waves that we perceive as sound waves, resulting in the loud thunderclap associated with lightning.
      However, it's important to note that ice atoms themselves are not directly involved in the process. Lightning primarily occurs within clouds and between the cloud and the ground. In these areas, it's primarily air molecules that are affected by the extreme conditions created by the lightning strike.
      So, while ice may be present in a thunderstorm, it's not the ice atoms that are responsible for the collisions generating the thunder. It's the rapid heating and compression of the air caused by the lightning discharge that leads to the shockwave and subsequent thunder.

    Sir, I had a doubt that how can protons move? You said "because of the strong force of attraction the proton of the atom moves towards the sphere."But,how is it even possible?
