Those DEER 😍😍😍!!! I absolutely adore them, definitely my FAVORITE!!! I would leave them alone, however, if it brings peace to your home to add noses, go for it!!! You could do the half pearls, vintage buttons (everyone picks their own out of assortment you choose), fuzzy yarn as a pom pom (or create a swirl or just do a messy ball of it)…just a few ideas!!! Those brass horns are so elegant, thank you for saving them and I love your painted villages…just gorgeous!!! Your little one made me smile! I too have thought of changing or not even putting out the same old stuff year after year. So each year to inspire me and get me excited for Christmas Decorating I find or make a few new items to refresh my older collection. I definitely have some favorite items and will never give them up, but some years I leave a few items in my totes and see if they are missed. 😊 Thank you for sharing❤

I really loved your version of the reindeer family. Lil Heather (looks just like Mama) wasn’t buying into it. I think they need noses. The horn candle sticks turned out to be beautiful, great job. My favorite is still your version of the little houses. I found a few in the barn last summer and I put them in my craft room. I haven’t worked on them yet 🤦🏼♀️. I really like your grey village pieces. I saved your video from last year. I need to just get it done.

Another nice group of projects! The reindeer reminded me of something my mom did when I was very young. She took my baby blanket and covered it with a beautiful pink satin fabric and made a doll blanket for me and it was also a keepsake because it was made from my favorite blanket. Well, I hated it. I wanted my old torn, used up, baby blanket back. Now of course I would give anything to have that satin blanket. ❤
Pallet Board - anything vine & berry like that gets a big thumbs up from me. Horn Candlesticks - great thrift & end result - maybe next time try a Mr. Clean sponge to save on the elbow grease lol?? Reindeer - I like them the new way & your daughter's reaction - priceless and what a cutie pie!! The Village - This wasn't my thing since I'm a purist in this arena - mine are all pure white - but I can appreciate what you did. Rolling Pin - I have a soft spot for cardinals as they are my mom's fav and I have them in my yard often and think of her, so yeah I liked it a lot.
The the bugle candlesticks are spectacular, so glad you kept them they are my favorite. Like the gold/white village pieces, gray not so much. The wreath on the pallet wood is just beautiful in it’s simplicity. Enjoyed this one so much, hope you reach a compromise on the reindeer. Lol. And, of course, it was good to see Henry! I love red, green and white so the pallet sign is my jam. I see why it was hard to choose between the two colors of the houses and even though I’m not a big rolling pin person I do love cardinals so that was the perfect simple touch.
Oh my gosh. I have a deer family just like that-I haven’t even put them out for a couple of years, but I may have to do an upcycle so that they can have new life!

I love that you updated the deer family in keeping with your current style. Maybe some little jingle bells for noses? I recently painted a ceramic church from my childhood that was gray and burgundy. I painted it white with gold trim and love how it turned out. Love yours too! I also did a light up snowman. My siblings might complain, but what good are they if they're in a box in the basement because they weren't my style, right?

HI, Heather, Merry Christmas. I like all of the houses. I painted some dollar tree houses white last year and I'm going to go around and just touch the edges with gold the way you did. I also did a light white wash over some of the other dollar tree houses because they were too vibrant.I have some duplicates of the dollar tree houses and I really like the dark ones with the gold trim too. I'm going to get some more dollar tree houses to spray black for Halloween thanks for sharing.

Just an fyi, when I need to get paint off of something like those candlesticks I use that Lysol Lemon Kitchen cleaner or mean green. That stuff is so strong it takes paint off if you use it straight and just soak the item your trying to strip the paint off. Those are staples in my upcycle caddie.

Hmmm…not a full time salary that’s for sure! That’s me after 2 years and 15k subs. BUT it is part of building my business and I have multiple streams of income with my booth/paint sales and now my website. There are those with immediate success that would say different but I want to be honest with you. However…small businesses usually take 2-5 years to make a profit and if I look at it that way I am on my way to doing just that. It’s definitely a journey and the non-financial perks such as community and purpose make up for some of that. Did that help? 🫣

I found 7 of these little houses. Spray painted them rubbed bronze and then added rub and buff over details. They look like metal.

Hmmm…not a full time salary that’s for sure! That’s me after 2 years and 15k subs. BUT it is part of building my business and I have multiple streams of income with my booth/paint sales and now my website. There are those with immediate success that would say different but I want to be honest with you. However…small businesses usually take 2-5 years to make a profit and if I look at it that way I am on my way to doing just that. It’s definitely a journey and the non-financial perks such as community and purpose make up for some of that. Did that help? 🫣
