How would you rate a young skier and give them advice on what to expect and what to do because I skied here 3 months ago and I almost took the tram up to ski big couloir and skied it but I realized I’m not good enough to take on that terrain
I normally snowboard but I skiied when I was younger when at big sky I did ski and did not have a very fun experience going down it if you have been skiing for a couple of years then I would say you can do it.
@@Parkproductions1991 I’m heading up to Big Sky tomorrow and I’ve never actually been to the top of Lone Peak. This week I’m gonna try Turkey Traverse and the Liberty Bowl. I haven’t been skiing in 2 years because of Covid so I don’t know how good I will be.
There are some more interesting and challenging rung on the East facing aspects. It wasn’t fresh snow however so I didn’t feel like fighting the crust on those
@@TheMwi98 atleast hiking gets out people without proper equipment. If they don’t have proper equipment, I’m assuming that they aren’t very good at skiing and just want to boast. Also castro’s is pretty similar to highland bowl. Liberty bowl is a single diamond.
nice! What camera did you film this on?
Nice line

Is Dakota bowl much more difficult than this other than being outside of the resort boundaries?
In the spring Dakota bowl gets very icy as it faces south
It is about the same steepness however there are many gullies which can be tricky
@@nickw8674 thanks!
Heading to Big Sky for the first time in February. This looks incredible. What are some of the other must hit terrain for the resort?
Tree runs in moonlight are 🔥
If your good big couloir
@@lev2813 I am a good skier, but not that good. When I saw it in person I was pretty intimidated.

@@lev2813 I went to the top and honestly it’s pretty intimidating. I went down Marxx and it was a little above my skill level.
Was kind of expecting more. This has got nothing on highlands bowl
Well it has one thing, lift access
