This was such a WILD movie. If case you’re still confused, Frank (the man) went into that woman’s house posing as the water man, and he unlocked her window so he could abduct her later that night. Never expected this story to go the places it did. Loves Tess, Georgina Campbell did a great job making her so likable. She had some good instincts, but poor girl was simply too nice for her own good. And it’s really a testament to the writing that I thought the ending was so heartbreaking. The “mother” being a product of so many decades of violence, her essentially being a developmentally challenged child, and her feeling attachment to Tess, it was all so sad. And perfectly tied into the mission statement of the film that men and women treat and get treated in dangerous situations so differently.

After I saw the snuff film room, I would have closed the secret door, calmly thanked Keith for his help without saying anything, and left THAT NIGHT to sleep at the airport. /End of movie.

Honestly I love the contrast between Georgina and Justin Long's character's in this. Georgina's big flaw is that she's empathetic to a fault. She goes against her own instincts to run so many times because she can't bring herself to leave someone behind to die. And while this empathy gets her into trouble, it also saves her, since her figuring out the 'monster' and empathizing with it is what ultimately makes the monster protective of her. Whereas Justin Long is just...the most selfish character possible, and that's ultimately what ends up getting him killed.

i loved this movie! it was the first horror movie that actually scared me in a long time. i loved the style of it too and how it was noticeably divided up into different sections :) one of my favorite parts was when she got there and the neighborhood was dark and then she saw how it really was the next morning

I was literally contemplating on turning the movie tf OFF. The way there was no echo when they called to each other!! It sounded like noice cancelation. And the way they’re so accurate about how carful women have to be in situations! Notice how BOTH the men weren’t hesitant at all to go into the caves until it was too late! Tess was ready to go upon seeing the first room! As she should’ve! Great video chu❤️

Saw this movie a few days ago, and even though I'm still a bit traumatised, this for me is one of the best horror films of this year! The twists kept coming, I was on the edge of my seat the whole damn time and I love how they "switched/changed" the usual tropes about the good guys/ bad guys in horror films. Another good horror movie this year is Smile😭that movie scared me outta my socks but it was also so fun. A lot of ppl say it’s not scary at all tho but the music & frequencies in it are made to make you feel anxious, I think it’s really well done. This movie, it has scary moment, unexpected plot twist, interesting characters, storyline not bad, little bit hilarious with the measuring tape, good place of shooting film. The only thing that pissed me off is that the police characters in the movie are stupid and not caring for what the main character has been through. I love this movie, but Tess is my least favorite final girl. I know it’s most likely intentional, however her lack of self preservation made her position of a “final girl”feels unearned and just by sheer luck 🤷🏾♀️
Am I the only one here who doesn't think the girl main character is that stupid? The only super dumb decision she made that has barely any justification is going back to the house after she finally escaped. But also I can understand every other decision she made and believe it. I'm alone here? Haha
It was a terrible life decision but it was a well written character move because at the beginning she told Keith how her toxic trait was that she kept going back to her ex. She's a fixer.

This was a great movie and I absolutely loved your reaction. There is one big plot hole though. Andre said she was a copy of a copy of a copy and that she was born in the house 40 years ago. But the timeline doesn’t add up. Even if Frank had a child with one of his earliest victims at most she could have only been his daughter/granddaughter. Which is bad enough.
I really enjoyed the movie. It was different and creepy. The only thing dt bugged me was Tess being too nice which made it lil unrealistic, letting her do dumb stuffs just for the plot point.
i was screaming at her the entire time lol, i do feel like going into horror movies u just have to get into the headspace to accept characters making dumb decisions tho. the lifeblood of horror movies is walking into scary basements or following spooky noises in the woods that no one would ever actually follow.

Another good horror movie this year is Smile😭that movie scared me outta my socks but it was also so fun. A lot of ppl say it’s not scary at all tho but the music & frequencies in it are made to make you feel anxious, I think it’s really well done. It’s still new but whenever you can, I would love to see what you think of it💖

This movie irritated me so much lol! I kept yelling for her to just break the door or window with something. Who stays in the basement?!? And then going in try to save Keith instead of calling 911... AND THEN going back to save the other dude. UUGGGHHHH. So many terrible choices lol
She called 911 but they're useless and overhwelmed with crime in other areas which they showed. Actually I think no cop wants to go down to that area anyway they have their prejudices. Yknow it's a stereotypical crackhead place. I think the thing I can see as most dumb is going back there to save him tbh but like she's a good soul which worked out against her 🤷

This movie, it has scary moment, unexpected plot twist, interesting characters, storyline not bad, little bit hilarious with the measuring tape, good place of shooting film. The only thing that pissed me off is that the police characters in the movie are stupid and not caring for what the main character has been through. I love this movie, but Tess is my least favorite final girl. I know it’s most likely intentional, however her lack of self preservation made her position of a “final girl”feels unearned and just by sheer luck 🤷🏾♀️

Am I the only one here who doesn't think the girl main character is that stupid? The only super dumb decision she made that has barely any justification is going back to the house after she finally escaped. But also I can understand every other decision she made and believe it. I'm alone here? Haha
It was a terrible life decision but it was a well written character move because at the beginning she told Keith how her toxic trait was that she kept going back to her ex. She's a fixer.

This was a great movie and I absolutely loved your reaction. There is one big plot hole though. Andre said she was a copy of a copy of a copy and that she was born in the house 40 years ago. But the timeline doesn’t add up. Even if Frank had a child with one of his earliest victims at most she could have only been his daughter/granddaughter. Which is bad enough.

I really enjoyed the movie. It was different and creepy. The only thing dt bugged me was Tess being too nice which made it lil unrealistic, letting her do dumb stuffs just for the plot point.
i was screaming at her the entire time lol, i do feel like going into horror movies u just have to get into the headspace to accept characters making dumb decisions tho. the lifeblood of horror movies is walking into scary basements or following spooky noises in the woods that no one would ever actually follow.

Also the creature/mother, even if it's a product of incest, is still a human?? How the hell did she survived that car impact and literally falling off frm that tower? They could've focused on the actual Barbarian (the father/abductor) story as well, it felt a lil incomplete. How did he survived for so long in that place with his paralysed ass? The creature wasn't intelligent enough to take care of him or was she babying him as well? 😂 I watched the movie bcz of the hype but it was certainly not wat I expected.
