Perfect video to perfect song
Das hab ich jetzt erst entdeckt..., muss mir irgendwie entgangen sein.
Herrlich, diese melancholische Stimmung, die der Song vermittelt.
Und der Text ist nicht minder interessant!
Eine Perle der Sehnsucht von New Order, so beruhigend und zart.
Auch dein Video ist sehr gut passend dazu, weil es ja ach diese Stille Melancholie vermittelt...
Ein ruhiges Meisterwerk!!
Auch bei diesem Song hatte ich mich mal wieder gewundert, daß noch niemand auf die Idee kam, ein Fan-Video dazu zu basteln... Bei einer Band wie New Order fällt es ja wirklich schwer einen einzelnen Lieblingssong zu nennen, "Your Silent Face" rangiert da aber für mich schon sehr weit oben. Ich liebe dieses perfekte Zusammenspiel von Kraftwerk-inspirierter Elektronik, den warmen Keyboardmelodien und Peter Hooks melancholischem Basslauf, das alles kombiniert ist einfach pure Perfektion. Und überhaupt ist das ganze Album "Power, Corruption & Lies" ein Merilenstein und seiner Zeit weit voraus.
Was New Order angeht, habe ich auch nie eine klare Trennlinie zwischen ihnen und Joy Division gezogen, für mich sind N.O. da einfach die konsequente Weiterentwicklung. Ich denke, auch wenn es nicht zum tragischen Selbstmord von Ian Curtis gekommen wäre, hätte sich die Band in sehr ähnlicher Richtung entwickelt. Die elektronischen Elemente wurden ja schon damals präsenter, woran die geniale Produktion von Martin Hannet natürlich einen großen Anteil hatte.
Jedenfalls mal wieder vielen Dank für Lob & Kommentar! Ich versuche mal, heute noch was neues fertigzustellen und hochzuladen... Leider hat mich am Montag der Büroalltag wieder und das bedeutet dann erstmal wieder zu wenig Zeit für die wirklich wichtigen Dinge des Daseins.

Who is she? So beautiful and an amazing actress.
I used scenes from Joseph Cornell's short film "Fable for Fountains", the name of the actress is Suzanne Miller. There isn't much to find about her, the IMDB doesn't even list her name in this film. But there is some info availabe at the University of Toledo, Ohio: www.utoledo.edu/library/canaday/HTML_findingaids/MSS-105.html . I agree with you, she is really special and the scenes with her suit (in my opinion) perfectly this beautiful New Order song. Thanks for watching and for your interest!
