I have a 79 Kromag - Puch Swinger 2 (Puch E50) I've done a bunch of stuff to. I have a friend who had one of these Moby's for a while, before getting into later model Peugeot, and Moby. They are all such heavy bikes, compared to my tube-frame Kromag. Your earlier Frenchie is probably a bit lighter.
Yes, my Mobylette is light, about 35 kg if I remember correctly. It can easily be lifted and carried with one hand. It has great sentimental value to me as it was my grandads. It has been nonworking standing in a barn for about 50 years. I have since the video rebuilt the wheels with all new parts except the hubs. Now they are shiny and not wobbly. 🙂
@@matsbyggmastar620 Very nice! Will you be restoring it completely? It would be great, with all the accessories, including panniers, and leg fairings, and windshield (At least I think they made them all for that model.)
@@DetroitMicroSound It is fully usable right now. I drive it to work occationally. But someday I may continue renovating it. The paint is bad at places. But it looks like a double color (?) chrome paint. Probably not easy to paint by myself.
