Yeah, that one hurt. Editing Opie isn’t as simple as cutting him out without losing a lot of the context, since he opens all the breaks and introduces topics and guests not to mention randomly taking calls and changing subjects. That's why a big part of my work is listening to all the segments beforehand and making sure other members of the show can be used to fill in the blanks, but it’s always a trade off and sometimes I have to use a chip voice or even a hard cut if I don't want to lose the bit. Initially I thought I had a solid line from Ant for the introduction, but in the edit I realized Opie was absentmindedly bleating the whole time in the background and there was no way to separate him in the waveform.
