The Clintons ruined Haiti. Who ruined Cuba? Does it go back to the Rockefellers & other merchants?
@@migzz7976 You must have been sleeping. For many years there have been hundreds of CZcams videos showing life in Cuba. I was surprised that the Cuban authorities allowed tourists to make the videos. No Cubans will be allowed in because they have seen the Commie BS act for generations. They won’t vote democrat so they won’t be allowed in . Haiti is a different story unfortunately. @@krisniznik3953 Some Cubans interviewed by tourists say they are afraid to comment about life in Cuba in case they get thrown in jail for 10 years.
Vietnam and China reformed their economies almost 40 years ago. Why does Cuba still run command economy like Soviet Unions?
I'm Cuban, and I will tell you why. They don't want to let go of their power grip. They don't want the embargo lifted either. Both, Cuban- American politicians and Cuban politicians want everything to remain the same. How do you think they make their money? The ones in the States receive 20 millions yearly preaching for democracy in Cuba and the ones in Cuba have offshore investments. It's the average Joe that suffers. USA benefits, because they use Cuba to get votes, and most cubans come with degrees hence USA saves tons of money in education. We come, we get legalized, work, and pay taxes. Very few rip the system and very few are lowlifes. But this time there's not much to offer the average Joe in Cuba. Tourism is dead [one of the main sources of income]. And they can't provide basic services anymore. Food shortages, no medicine, no electricity, limited gas, etc. It's only going to get worse
Because they are communist fanatics in charge of Cuba.
Vietnam, in many key ways, still practices command economy: foreigners, for example, are strictly forbidden from owning anything that isn't a personal business. Anyone who wants to do something more economically "important" must take Vietnamese citizenship (and accept permanent government consultants who politely watch over them); it's just their way of preventing foreigners from running the country.

We have spent WAY more trying to ruin their economy and overthrow their government out of pique than a little assistance would cost. Our problem is that we're too afraid of having a functioning socialist country setting an example that we can't just leave them alone.
We don't have to pay for anything. We could just lift the sanctions.
Bro this comment section full of blind sided people. Cubans have no choice over government it is just appointed for them. They have no say on food rations, anything. So it is a dictatorship at that. If they could’ve left Cuba long time ago, they would have but they make it impossible for you to leave. They don’t have money or food because the government takes it all from them. Educate yourself kings it comes a long way.
You do not know history. They wanted democracy. What happened was Bautista was set to leave it alohe stuck with such an easy election instead of accepting the election result they a grown adult he threw a hissy fit and instigated a military coup that made him dictator. This led to revolts by several factions one of which was led by castro. Castro had promised to retirn democracy but was turned to communism by his brother. After bautista fled castro wiped out the other rebel groups
The Cuban government can blame the USA all they want for interfering in their politicals, but that's definitely not the only cause of the country's situation, and they know it.

I'm sure Russia will help them... right?
Russia does help them a lot.
They'd be fine if we halted the sanctions that are currently keeping them from trading with most of the world, but they buried the lead as deep as they could.
@@noellecelnik4347 ok cool, good.
That may be true, but in what way? I understand that Cuba is not restricted from trading with most of the world except for the US. Let me know if I am wrong.@@noellecelnik4347

THIS is why it is important to learn growing your own food. People became too reliant on their government and is now suffering from it. I think gardening and growing knowledge should be taught to every child because you never actually know what is going to happen.
Do you know what doesn't make sense to me we got Cubans we got Venezuelans we got Colombians all coming over here with bbls😂 crazy
I hope we stay of this one.
we are the one causing it. sanctions were reintroduced under Trump and continued under Biden

No hawaii will be like this because it's being governed by west coast and east coast progressive democrats. They're no different from the communist in Cuba.
This was a contributing factor to the catastrophic fire recently. Back when they had farms and pineapple plantations, there was ample water inland that would have contained the blaze.

Boy, Cubins might not have much money, but they shure have cool cars.

Cars were sanctioned a long time ago, so they don’t have new cars. So, they then just use old 1950-1960’s cars

The rich in Cuba never go without
But all that free education and health care! They should be happy to go without food!
Well they can't come to America and better not think of doing so.
What you gonna do about it king
Where did your family or ancestors come from? Why did they leave their countries of origin? If you dug deep, you might realize that they came for freedom from violence or persecution, a better quality of life, freedom of religion, etc, etc. Why should your family/ancestors have been allowed to immigrate, but not others now? Our government, and capitalist greed caused some or much of their problems, so why shouldn't they feel a right to immigrate here? There's lots of reasons for people to pack up and leave everything behind, and it's not just because they'd like a new view, or more money.

Castro called Khruschev to demand a preemptive nuclear strike on the US from Cuba. Relations can never recover from something like that.
Cuba is just following the same path as every communist/socialist economy. Remember the Soviet Empire? Look at North Korea
Sociopathic country ran by sociopaths
For all of you who think the sanctions/embargo/blockade caused this situation, it didn't. Cuba imports more food from the US than anywhere else, no sanctions applied. Last yr the government could've ensured proper nutrition for all the population with 10% of what they spent in hotels that remain empty. But they didn't, they have their own agenda and priorities, and we the people are not it. Right now the avg Cuban literally has worse nutrition than slaves did back in the 1800s. Also, Taiwan has suffered sanctions from China for a comparable amount of time, but chose a free market economy. Compare the two nowadays, that'll paint a better picture than I can here
It did you just don't like hearing it 🤷

It’s been a political crisis since that country kicked out Michael Corleone.
Like thats not happening in usa
😂🤣😅😆
It's literally not. We don't have 90% inflation, widespread hunger (we actually have an obesity problem due to so many plentiful calories), and constantly failing infrastructure (although we may get there someday if we keep neglecting maintenance and privatizing everything). If you're ever wondering how crappy countries are compared to one another check asylum rates leaving the two countries and entering those two countries. Those relative rates demonstrate where people actually want to leave and where they feel relatively safe fleeing to.
Don't get me wrong; I'm not saying the US is a perfect utopia with no issues. We have issues, but in relative terms we're doing extremely well compared to Cuba.
It isn't.
How sad this makes me!
We also have an economic crisis in the USA.
No we don't.
The no reason for the US to have an embargo against cuba anymore.
There is no reason for Cuba to have a one party dictatorial regime embarcing a failed ideology. Have free elections and a free economy, and all sorts of wonderful things will happen.
