5 fucking seconds? That is a crime against humanity.
There should be a rule when you go off track and then cause a collision, it should always be your fault not anyone else. So many times that has happened especially in race start. And what did he get? nothing lol
im sure you are talking about the second race incident, if you really look at it:
he went of track on the right, over corrected wich lunged him to the left. however, at this point the guy should already have been slowing down, and actually have saved him spinning out. im sure he just kept his foot on the pedal...
on the left side he caught the grass again, spinning him and lunging him in fornt of scdr...
now for scdr:
sees the guy up front going out of control, that already should be a warning.
sees the guy getting lunged to the left, at this point, scdr should have slowed down a bit.
sees the guy spinning out, and because scdr did not lift the acc. ran into him...(clearly visible he did not lift)
was it a deserved penalty? not really, but it could have been avoided if you look at it.
the other guy didnt get anything as "he got rammed" justyfied? not at all.
this is the main reason why i stopped playing this game months ago. i have better things to do than watching everybody crash into each other, trying my best to avoid, only to get rammed time and time again for no reason.
a lot of these guys think this game is called wreckfest, its not.
i know a couple of games that if you try shit like this in those games, youll end up where you deserve: at the bottom of the pile, where the rest of the racing filth is.
either way, the 5 second penalty was way to big, but slowing down and not thinking about your position sometimes, very rarely, makes you go faster, as you dont get penalties and people around you do.

I keep saying the rules suck. Turn10 has to fix it yet again. Rammers get away with a 1 second penalty after ruining people's races. Some people think this is a fighting game. If you ram you should get a 10 second penalty. Or a 20% loss in engine power. You see cars going totally offtrack and still managing to keep ahead of the car that made the turn well. It's still chaos out there.
Yes! The loss in power would be a good thing just like the f1 games. In general it's so hard to do proper penalties in a game where it's a mad dash to the end. Only 3-5 laps, every second counts, you slow up because someone in front is all over the road and allows someone else to catch up and rear end you off the track. People don't care. That's the sad reality of it

Playing Devils Advocate, you did see the car ahead lose control. You could have slowed down in which case you may have avoided contact altogether....just saying.
