If you close your eyes you can just imagine Calypso singing.
55 years old and haven't cried like this for years. The Bluey episode, home, your kids growing up, the woman you love, then that song, well it is astounding. I challenge anyone to watch Bluey 'The Sign' and if you fail to feel what its really like to be 'On Country' and with your family, then I really feel for you.
There will never be another Calypso like Meg Washington. Way to shine!!

My husband and I have been separated for three years. We have reconciled, but live in different states now and have to decide if he moves here or our two children and I move there. The Sign came out while we were on a rare visit to him and I can’t tell you how hard we were hit by this song and the dynamic between Chili and Bandit ❤

This song is so beautiful, I immediately teared up when listening to it during The Sign and I wondered how such a powerful, deep song could be part of a childrens show? (Though Bluey tends to tug on the deepest strings in our hearts so not too surprising there) But then I read your explanation about how you wrote this song from your heart during a dark time, trying to find the light, searching for hope. Seriously though, this song means so much to me already! The entire thing! For a reason that might seem hard to believe.
I live in the US I didn't see The Sign until it came out on Disney Plus for the US. About 6 months ago in October I moved 1100 miles away from my family. I had been starting to regret the decision about a month ago. I kid you not, less than a week before I saw the episode. Before I even knew it was coming out. I was at my parents house for a visit and we started planning for me to move back. A few days later, on Sunday (when the episode came out) I watched Ghostbasket and then The Sign. I was on the verge of tears throughout the entire episode. Until Brandy showed up. I let out an audible gasp at the same time I paused the episode and started bawling. From then on, I was bawling or almost bawling til the end. When this song started playing and I recognized Meg's voice, I was ugly crying. I had to pause get up and run to the bathroom to avoid everyone seeing me cry. I was bawling for the rest of the episode. And the crying intensified when that slowed down version of the theme song played on the piano started playing.
It hit me so hard, because of my current situation. I take it as The Sign that I'm doing the right thing by moving back to be closer to family. That's why I believe this song will always have a special place in my heart. Because of what it immediately meant to me the moment it started playing.
I also got a fortune cookie from Panda Express a week after watching the episode. It said,"A refreshing change is in your near future."

Oh my gosh Yes! she/whoever her helper(s)/pr behind the channel actually went ahead and fixed the comments! When this performance got released a while back, no one could comment on it. Now we can! That's real good luck. But, we'll see. Because, this version of the performance for some reason has been uploaded in mono, not stereo. But... that's real bad luck! Or is it? Well, we'll see. If Meg sees this, then thank you. If it's the pr or helper or such, thank you whoever you are. Finally, can I just say, I'm a totally blind person, and, this song has legit made me cry, not only during the episode but as a standalone song itself. Will this version be released as a download on music services?
