Lol i tore these up in the 90s. Id wear them everyday. The whole school would. I just got another pair and im 35. I went to see my mom. Shes from the 70s so she'd never be caught in these. But she said, "YOU'RE WEARING THE POTATO SHOES AGAIN!!??!" LOL I said hell yea, theyre coming back around (in style again)! She said, "they emind me of when you were a baby!" ❤😂
You are not lying, they are so comfy! I have 2 of the oiled leather, one is a softbed, the other original. They feel about the same, the softbed isn’t much softer, though I got caught having to walk 6 city blocks in a torrential downpour when they were new, they were soaked through and through, not sure if that could have done anything to the insole, you aren’t supposed to immerse them in water. Doesn’t appear to have damaged them, though, they dried out and look and feel fine. My favorites are the tobacco brown Boston, they go with everything, feel great, and look good too!
They are worth the money. Unless you’re running thru puddles regularly, they should last you years. And I mean YEARS! I still wear my original pair and are still in pretty good condition for being over 15 years old. I just bought my 4th pair.
I just want to say I really look up to you and I also love fashion but a lot of people say shopping and fashion is for girls so I want to prove them wrong my name is Jack I live in Houston Texas I watch all your videos keep up the good work hope you have a great day.
Thank you so much! I couldn’t even purchase in store and was stressing out about size. (I’m going on a trip soon and do not have time to return shipping and what not)💝💝
Just ordered a replacement pair of bostons. First pair I got were in the exquisite leather and they just felt like hard plastic. Loved the black on black look but couldn’t deal with the leather.
I bought a pair of Birkenstock Boston’s and they weren’t for me Prior to owning a pair of the Boston clogs I had the Arizona slides and they weren’t comfortable at all. If you have a medium to high arched foot, Birkenstocks will be very comfortable but if you have more a flat foot, they will hurt your arches My arches would get blisters from wearing both the sandals and clogs and would be sore after walking in them all day. I got tired of convincing myself that they were as comfortable as everyone else was saying. I ended up switching to bedrock sandals, might even get their clogs since they’re both flat. Birkenstock Bostons are just crocs for rich people. They can be comfortable but only for specific foot types.
I have big feet and even though the style I bought was just a bit small I gave them ago. As soon as I got them broken in they fit length wise properly.
VERY GOOD POINT, BECAUSE IT MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE ON HOW THE SHOE FITS. I ONCE HAD TO EDUCATE A WELL KNOWN STORE AS THEY DIDN’T HAVE A CLUE WHAT THEY WERE SELLING WITH REGARD TO THE WIDTHS.
Yeah I've had about 8 different pairs of Arizonas and Bostons in the last 15 years, and ABSOLUTELY go a full size down. I also even have wide feet. They're just made to be worn with the footbed 'snug' in terms of the boundaries of your foot. That's how they're designed with contours for toe grip, heel cup, and arch support.
Actually, you are right about socks. Albeit the leather & cork foot bed is incredibly comfortable after break in, the leather and cork dry out the oils & moisture in your foot’s skin leading to dry thicken skin over time. A great pair of darn tough merino wool socks prevents this. 😀
I wear the narrow. I’m between a size 7 and a 7.5 and the 38 (7-7.5) fits me perfect. Probably the regular width size 38 would be too loose, though. I was told by a Birkenstock rep that with some of the styles, like those that don’t come in a narrow width (most do) then sizing down might work.
Im true size 7. I bought the wide online in 38(7-7.5) because of my daughter, she said her clogs was wide and its not! Her’s was narrow in size 37. When i tried her clogs,it just fit right but my toe nail touches the thing, its comfortable but im not sure if i like it. Now, i need to return this, wait for availability and dont know what really is my size.
Idk what you’re talking about going true to size. I recently tried the Boston clogs on this past weekend, I’d like to say I have a regular azz foot “structure” nothing crazy. And I literally had to go two sizes down. These run huge, def go try them on before you cop online or anything.
Same thing happened to me! Bought my first pair of Birkenstock Bostons. I was originally size 9 on every single one of my shoes but i got the size 7 mens. I used their measuring system in store.
Yo man I love ur vids . Do u know what material ur socks are or in general the type of socks that stack in a loose way? Been searching a while and still haven’t found anything. Thanks 🙏🏼
Sandals and sock is my go to "I have a flu but I need to buy my own groceries" wear.

TBH, always wear socks to avoid marks on your skins from those leather straps.
And they look super cool with well knitted baggy socks

i bought birks bostons… i have narrow feet so happy they have narrow. i got a 9 or a 40, perfect fit. I’d recommend sizing a half size down
Really tempted on buying a pair but they cost a pretty penny

🙌👍💯 thank you brother
The Pineco rug is dope af!
They look excellent on you!❤
I def had to size down! I got my true size at first but ended up getting a lot of foot and ankle pain bc they were too big
I know a few people including myself benefitted from going at least 1 size down from the recommended size chart.
100% 1 size down

I keep seeing different things. I’m a 9 US in shoes which would be a 42 but I’ve seen some say go a size down. Looking to get the Bostons and Arizona.
Love the videos ❤
Mans missed the #1 tip. Wear your Birkenstocks without socks the first few wears so it’ll mold to your feet. Then it’ll be ok to wear socks with it.
Evidently my feet & heel has teeth... so I'll be fine with socks the very first time, lololol
But he definitely said for his foot structure. I had to go a size up regular wide because of my foot build
Thanks for the tips! What color are these?
I brought 2 after watching your review
The kapital socks with birks is so hard
I’ve known a few people including myself that did NOT like true to size and went down a size or 2.
I’ve heard people say go up or go down for me tts is my recommendation
also if theyre rlly uncomfortable at the start dont return them, just give it a lil while for them to mould to ur feet
The color and style are lit.
Whats that colour?
@@agustingorbea7039beige
So glad you were joking about always wearing socks…I was like 😮😰😂
They look a little too small on your feet. Normally you should have more space behind your heel.
Everytime I buy birks I have to size up exact size is too close for my comfort and being wide feet doesn’t help
Dope socks bro! I ❤ Kapital!
What socks are those? I need em
socks is a must for me lol
Mine just came in today. The right foot hurts.
I never understood the hype and still don’t at age 37. I did want to try out some slides though.
I’ve been wanting some but it’s hard to find them in a size 15 😂
Damn😂 huge feet
