Thank you for sharing. Sorry I wasn't able to watch it live. I was getting my property ready and cleaned up before going in for surgery on Wednesday. :-) Great video. I have a question: How do you get the quail to be tender. Do they have to be on the younger side such as 10 to 14 weeks? We have some older quail (about 9 months old). I like to keep my ratio on males to hens at about 1 male/4 females. As of right now, we have 40 females so I want to keep 10 males. That leave me with an extra 14 males. Will they be too tough to just throw on the grill or will they be ok. I know I can throw them in a slow cooker but thought I would see about grilling older quail.

We salt water brine ours overnight and that helps with all ages. If they’re older I would brine longer and just make sure not to overcook and you can always wrap in aluminum foil too to keep the juices in. Hope that helps!
